MDMA and aspartame

I read on a website that drinking 'diet' drinks (drinks with aspartame) while taking E/MDMA causes increased chance of neurotoxicity. Anyone ever heard anything about this?

Also- I'm a first-timer when it comes to E, and was planning on taking some, but after reading this, I'm quite skeptical. I drink Diet Dr. Pepper quite frequently (3-5 cans a day, sometimes more), and I'm wondering:

Would this still apply if I just drank water after dropping, or would the aspartame already in my body increase neurotoxicity? Should I just drink water for the entire day before dropping that night?

Can't say much, but SWIM doesn't FEEL anymore neurotoxicity when rolling and drinking aspartame containing drinks, which he has done. But SWIM isn't even sure that one would feel anything. Unfortunately SWIM lacks any brain scanning devices, as well as the knowledge necessary to operate one (for now).

Yeah, since I haven't really seen anything about it on this website I can't imagine it would be too harmful, but you never know.

Since my first time, I'll only drop 1/2 a pill, so I'm going to just not drink aspartame while tripping- only water.

There are plenty of people who think aspartame by itself is neurotoxic are you sure this didn't just come from them?

Not so sure I buy into that. 8oz of diet soda contains from 10-85mg of aspartame. ~50% of the aspartame breaks down into L-phenylalanine. That's a whole 60ish mg tops from a can of diet soda.

technically they aren't lying, but it's funny how they spin things around....

they mean to say that apartame gets broken down into phenylalanine which is then used to make tyrosine which later becomes dopamine. and since u have more dopamine for your brain to shove around from place to place because of what's happening with your serotonergic system on mdma, you are ruthlessly causing "neurotoxicity" as a side-effect.... lol....
