Combinations - Mushrooms and Alcohol

Wouldn't recommend it, shrooms are powerful enough as it is, maybe max one or two beers, but i wouldn't recommend hard alcohol or too much beer. It just isn't necesscary really...

What does SWIY hope to acheive? If one wants a highly spiritual, introspective experience, one should probably not mix alcohol with psilocin. If one just wants to get f'd up, then by all means mix the two. Although in SWIM's experience, alcohol tends to deaden the effect of psychedellics.

that just gets you fucked up. swim was whoopin ass at beerpong but afterwards waiting on the steps for a ride... yr still trippin when yr drunk cause 8 minutes felt like an hour.. if swiy doesnt feel that trippy say if they ate 1.5, drink a beer or two and swiy will be fucked up

Swim tried this last night. He had about 75% of a mickey of gin followed by munching on 3.5 gs of shrooms. He would agree with this assessment. The alcohol does lessen the effect of it. He had the laughing fits and such and everything felt ridiculous around him (he was at a massive Halloween party at a club). But it just felt that it could have been stronger w/o the booze being taken but he thinks the alcohol prevented him from actually going too wild and going out there from the shrooms alone.

SWIM wouldn't really suggest mixing Alcohol with Mushrooms. Alcohol clouds one's mentality which isn't really the point of Hallucinogenics, I think SWIUs would all agree on that.
Also, Mushrooms can have a tendency to bring about nauseau and SWIM can't imagine that Alcohol will help that at all, maybe if someone wanted to dampen down the effects sightly for some reason or another, the best thing would be Marijuana due to it's interesting effects on elliviating nauseau.

i wouldnt recommend with any shrooms but most importantly avoid muscimol mushrooms and alcohol. muscimol is a potent GABA-A agonist and alcohol also effects GABA. outcome could be grim....

swim would not recomend exceeding 1 or 2 drinks since being drunk can really mellow out the hallucinations and bring the trip back to baseline in a hurry

My ferret has found, in his case, combinig alcohol with psychedelics almost always makes his trip less rewarding, and usually leaves him with a bad comedown.

The harsh physical toll brought about from dehydration and acetaldehyde buildup due to alcohol consumption and the mental and existential exhaustion from the psychedelic experience can lead to comedown that couldn't be over any sooner.

Small amounts are fine. No more than two or three beers. SWIM rarely feels like drinking during a mushroom trip though. It might be nicer afterwards.

SWIM wouldn't do it, SWIM finds alcohol a little depressing for shroom trips. If anything, SWIM could imagine it to make things go pearshaped should SWIM of consumed quite an amount.

Looking at the incidents with magic mushrooms that occur in Amsterdam, it shows that by far most incidents / ambulance rides involve the combination of alcohol with magic mushrooms.
The incidents that lead to the ban of magic mushrooms in the UK and Ireland also involved alcohol use.

Aside from that alcohol is mind narrowing, in contrary to magic mushrooms which are mind expanding; I would strongly advise against the use of alcohol with magic mushrooms.

From what SWIM has observed in other lab monkeys, alcohol + mushrooms greatly increases the chances of having a freakout. Not recommended.

Swim has experiance with shrooms and alcohol. He found a small amount of shrooms and lots of beers allowed him to be sane enough to go clubbing which was very different! Swim found that he felt very warm and euphoric but the alcohol calmed down the nerves enough to really enjoy the night out.

Swim found that drinking alcohol whilst on a proper shroom trip didnt really do anything. He found it quite difficult to even notice how drunk he was whilst tripping balls and trying to work out the meaning of life!!!

I don't see why you want to take alcohol while doing shrooms. Lots of alcohol will narrow your mind and make you rather 'dumb'. Shrooms will give your philosophical intelligence or at least spirituality a giant boost, so those will conflict :P

If it's just for the taste of beer, it should be fine, but I wouldn't exceed the amount of 2,3 beers.

It depends what you want from your shroom experiance i suppose! SWIM used to grow shrooms when they were legal in the uk, so he had lots to play with. Its fun to experiment and find new places to trip and a night club is definitly a different way to spend a night shroomed up!

if you're using shrooms just to get fucked up, just stop. they're not a drug you can just manhandle like weed, or even opiates. and for those who just get brainfucked with no intent for the expansion of their being put a bad light on the drug, as they're the one's that normally end up doing something stupid.
