Swim just found a MAPS instructional video on how to deal with difficult psychedelic experience's ( bad trips ). Swim would highly advise this video to anybody considering taking a psychedelic drug.....it could be of huge benefit. Check out the drug documentaries page of the file archive to find the 3 part video.

Apologies. Swim did scan through but couldnt spot it. It is a very good watch indeed. Lets hope MAPS start creating more of these.

The acting during the bad trip scene is hilarious at times, like when the guy is talking about how he is feeling. Acting isn't great, but it comes off funny anyways.

SWIM thinks they should've used this audio for the house-party bad trip scene.

He can't think of any other track which more characteristic of the auditory hallucinations of a bad trip. The sounds of malevolent entities from the deepest recesses of the mind.

SWIM heard this track about a month after his first terrifyingly bad trip and it instantly brought back memories of the sounds he heard while writhing in the back of his friends car.

SWIM does not agree that any manifestation of physical symptoms should = 911 call.

I doubt anyone experienced with psychedelics would agree to that. Uncomfortable physical feelings are extremely common with psychedelics, when the trip is uncomfortable. Feelings of body are a manifestation of mind. Methinks MAPS is doing their utmost to get more funding/not get sued.

"My legs are melting"

If tripper presents harm to self or others ... 911. Or benzodiazepine administration.

Otherwise, judgment and wisdom need be used -- not rash decisions that stick people with harmful law enforcement attention, or large, later regretted hospital bills for a saline drip and unfriendly whitesuits.

The presentation of this as a health-class style video is both subversively funny and right-on. :P
