Injected w/o thinking, I have a quick ?

This was prolly a stupid thing to do but I made up my mind I'd shoot some of my ice for the 1st time. So the deal is I didn't know much about IV'ing. I just mixxed some ice with water and shot into my vein on my left arm. I really hate needles and pass out 90% of the time I get a shot or blood draw but when I did this I didn't feel sick or dizzy like I always do right before I pass out when I get a shot. I liked the feeling and waspretty happyI had to guts to do it myself (a big deal to me before lol) so I did it again in my other arm with a little more about 2 hours later. And here is my prob, tommorow I have to go to the Dr. (they are checking out a few things with my heart, I've had a fast pusl for a long time, before I started ice and also some other thing forgot what). Being very uninformed about shooting I have a few ?'s. Ok the 1st spot looks normal other then the little prick mark but if I feel it the vein seems kind of hard is that normal? (Sorry if these are stupid ?'s) On the 2nd spot I'm pretty sure I missed my vein lol but I didn't think it mattered much so I just push it in anyway. Now theres a bump/swelled spot, not very big but what in that or what happened anyone got a guess? At 1st I thought it simplely went under my skin and not in the vein but it really hasn't gotten any smaller. My other worry is I'm going to the Dr. with my mom so I was thinking what are the chances they'd see the lil marks/bump and could I just say it was something else if they asked? I don't think they are going to but I guess theres a chance they could need blood for some test ect relating to my heart. Sigh I'm sure doing as much as I did (used more then just shooting) the day before this won't help at all. Thanks for readin~

First, as I'm sure you already know, if you have preexisting health problems you probably should not be using ice. That aside, as I'm sure you are going to continue to do so anyway, I'll try to answer your questions.

Yes. It is in the process of trying to repair itself. This will go away in a day or so, unless you keep shooting during that time period. After a while too much scar tissue forms and the vein feels hard permanently.

NO,NO,NO,NO,NO. With meth you do not do this. It damages the tissue. This is the reason that there is a bump now; your body is trying to repair the damage that the drug has done to the connective tissue and muscular tissue in your arm, as well as evacuate the drug that remains unassimilated. Most other drugs (opiates, etc)can be injected IM or SC in a water solution and assimilated by the body in a timely fashion. Some other drugs are injected in such a way in oil to slow the assimilation (such as steroids). Meth does not fall into either category and should only be shot IV.

This is a tough one. Here's what not to do. Do not put makeup on fresh tracks as you can have an allergic reaction that will make it more obvious. Do not attempt to cover the marks with your hand while you are being examined. This only draws attention to the area. Just go through the exam normally and hope for the best. A Dr will know what the marks are, so there is no way to fool him by saying they are something else.

for the love of god, think of these things first!
Id suggest simply snorting or smoking it. If you are looking for a euphoric high, smoke the stuff. Dont let something that's supposed to be fun hurt or kill you!

Thanks for the replys, yea I really didn't get much info about shootin before I did it and just from reading about it today I can see I was pretty careless. Anyway the Dr. went ok, everything was a little highbut not very out of the norm for me and at least I wasn't tweakin lol. It sure did scare the crap out of me when the nurse put the little thing around my arm I thought she was gonna see/ask about the mark. I don't think I will shoot much more/again, I can still do it other ways and get a nice high without all the time/stuff/risk of shooting. I just wanted to try it and at the time I was feeling really good, I don't think I would have liked the idea if I wasn't on it then. As for smoking it I really don't likesmoking it's a big waste to me (I think I'm the only person who doesn't like to smoke it around here). I'm all for snorting just my nose tends to bleed way too much =/ Oh well I should prolly stop andcome downif I do enuff to make it bleed anyway.

Them bumps are harsh- I had one so big once I went to my doctor unannounced and showed her- she cut it open and fixed me up but she was freaking pissed!
Shooting up takes lots of practice to get right, then if your veins are hard to find, it's the luck of the draw.
I would recommend not doing it.

1. drawback before injecting. make sure it's dark red blood not light coloured.
2. apply firm pressure with an alcohol wipe after removing needle
3. don't inject too much too fast. get in and out as quick as possible and rotate veins
4. filter mixture with a proper filter if you can get them (micron filter) they look the same as cigarette butts but are different.
5. use as fine a gauge needle as possible (29 are good)
6. don't inject drugs

thats some things i can think of off the top of my head, have a nice life

Using an alcohol swab after injecting will just make it bleed more. You should use a sterile cotton ball, like the nurses do when they take your blood.

By the way, if you're looking for the rush from injection, if you misfire that dope is not going to give you a rush...Might as well snort it or smoke it instead of causing pain and knots in the arm.
If you get a knot, running it under hot water sometimes helps. You shouldn't just push down quickly in excitement. Push down slow and if you feel discomfort or pain, pull out and start over. That's kind of hard advice to follow, cause some dope when NOT misfired can burn going in.
The only real reason to shoot is for the rush, because you can snort or smoke and get the legs and the high... Shooting up causes many problems later that you can't see at first. At first, if you're getting that rush, it seems like the best thing since cinnamon toast. Later, your label among even your friends is that slammer...or worse. Watch it.
