Cannabis and Mental Disorders
SWIM has recently made friends with a guy who is diagnosed as bi-polar. He says that marijuana made his disorder worse and exacerbates his mania. He says that when he stopped smoking weed and doing drugs in general, things got much better.
On the other hand, SWIM has heard of people smoking weed to alleviate the effects of mental disorders such as clinical depression, bi-polarism, schizophrenia, etc. Is SWIM missing something? How can weed help precipitate latent/existing mental disorders and calm the effects of them at the same time? |
