USA - Some very ridiculous anti drug propaganda

Has anyone seen this anti marijuana commercial in which kids in highschool have some new fad in which they put leeches on their body and the commercial is comparing this to marijuana use?What a stupid comparison!Putting a leech on ones body does not make them high.Is it saying people only smoke marijuana due to peer pressure?Swim knows this to be untrue.Sure if putting a leech on made you high swim would surely try it but it doesn't so yet again more of whats wrong with this kind of commercial and this stupid propaganda.Swim does not understand why more people don't question these types of advertisements or just stand out and say"This is fucking ridiculous!"It's nice that atleast on this forum people certainly do question.

Well jeez, all the cool kids cover themselves with leeches. Heh, but have u seen the one where there are kids going out almost killing themselves, and then one of kids sitting on a couch watching tv. It insists that it is better to risk getting hurt than being safe smoking marijuana. Yall should check out the anti-drug skit on robot chicken too. It is pretty damn funny.

Swim wishes this ridiculous propaganda would be replaced with truth.Swim did see one that was somewhat truthful in which the girl had the frying pan and was like "This is your brain,this is your brain on heroin.And smashed the egg and she was like"It's not over yet!"And started smashing everything in the room stating"This is what it does to your family,and your loved ones."and on and on.As someone very much into opiates swim can attest it can indeed do that.However it was still abit biased as there are some functioning and responsible opiate users believe it or not and just trying heroin once does not make a junkie.More truthful than these ridiculous anti marijuana ones we are seeing now though.And why are these idiots so worried about marijuana anyways?Kids binge drinking or huffing duster would worry swim more if he were a parent than weed would,infact swim would let his children use it when they were at the age to be responsible as he is sure most here would.

that commercial made SWIM want to put leeches on body apparently they're just like baby kidneys and are healthy for you, they cleanse the blood and make the body produce more blood all the time. Back in the day, and still for leukemia, they use leeches in tubs.

...but swim just has a kinky fascination with hickies from artheropods? what the hell kind of insect/bug/thing are they anyway. Leeches giving hickies would produce endorphins and make you feel good. SWIM imagines it's the same reason why some people get addicted to cutting themselves.

A hypothetical question... if someone had a shitload of morphine or cocaine in their body... would the leech either fall of and o.d. from the morphine or start having seizures or be paralyzed from cocaine in the blood? ...swiy gets the point... SWIM wants to experiment. haha.

Err, no they don't. Leeches are used in wound care & surgery to prevent clotting, allowing the wound a supply of oxygenated blood which promotes vein healing, which in turn heightens the chance of the wound healing, or in the case of a part of the body being reattached, not being rejected & falling off!
