Ingesting dry vs tea
If one does the tea preparation(boil, strain...etc) with dry cactus wouldnt that diminish the overall mescaline one could be taking compared to just ingesting the dry cactus(or any method where the actual solids would be ingested)
It seems that there could still be alkaloids contained in the solids after straining. Granted, boiling down the solids many times would reduce the alkaloid loss but there would still have to be a percentage left in the solids after straining. So ingesting cacti straight would result in more alkaloids ingested.right? or is the percentage low enough to not matter? SWIM is thinking of grinding up dry cactus, mixing with OJ(or similar) and drinking, since boiling does take a bit of time, and previous boilings have resulted in burning.(SWIM isnt good at temp control......especially /w a electric stove.....SWIM tends to burn normal food) Is this a good idea? |

Re: Ingesting dry vs tea
If you have attempted to cook cacti then you know it expands when wet. Think of what that will do in your gut. To control the temp try a crockpot on a low setting.
