Snorting SSRI's
What will happen if i snort some zoloft? i have a bunch of it left over from
when my shrink told me to take it and i didnt. any down sides?

don't do it, you were perscribed zoloft for a reason, so you should
probably take it for that reason...though if you really want to, use
the search bar to find out more, I have seen other posts about this
with various anti depressants...

snorting anti-depressants have no recreational value. i mean, you might
feel a little something from snorting it, but you would feel the same
from snorting any substance... sugar, whatever. just don't do it! not
smart, not good for you, and it won't produce any euphoria.

Effexor has no recreational effects whatsoever, they are anti-depressants, take like a week of taking them to kick in.

ya, effexor, or any other anti-depresent whether it be an SSRI, Tyriclic, or MAOI's(with the exception that MAOI's can be mixed with phycadelics to increse your sensitivity to them), have no recreational value at all. so dont fuck with them unless your looking to treat long term depretion.

^^ Effexor doesn't actually fit into any of those three categories of anti-
depresents you listed as its an SNRI. That said the answer is still the
same, it has no recreational value.

the only SSRI with any recreational value (though very little) is Welbutrin. (and its triCYCLIC for the record =P)

SWIM has been randomly experimenting with their various perscriptions and finally went so low as to snort 20mg of lexapro. DONT DO IT! SWIM just had to tell everyone this while it still feel like their face is being sandpapered off from the inside. Oh, jeez. SWIM needs to get some weed (NOT A REQUEST DONT YELL AT ME!) and stop with this Lexapro/ritalin/xanax nonsense.

Don't drag ritalin and xanax down with you. Even if snorting Citalopram didn't hurt like hell, and did work, why would you want to do it? SWIM can see why you'd do it, but to do it and then warn everyone "It really hurts and isn't good" as if there are loads of people planning to do it, I think you're making assumptions about people's intelligence.

Never underestimate the stupidity of people when it comes to experimentation with medication! There have been many posts on the recreational potential of both antidepressants & antipsychotics. These are not toys, & with the possible (although A Certain Mouse is not convinced!) exception of buproprion have no recreational value whatsoever.

Look, I wasnt commenting on the intelligence of anyone on this forum. Swim has had really good experiences snorting diet coke (nice and smooth, good speed high) and taking crushed xanax orally (which swim also WOULD NOT suggest snorting, from experience) I have nothing against those. Theres nothing wrong with trying to warn others not to do something that hurts and has really no recreational value.

PS: The title was more calling myself an idiot for trying it in the first place

Desperate, stupid, stressed out about the coming holidays and wondering if it could be something to get SWIM through being with the family. I couldnt find any definitve info about Lexapro, so I decided to just let SWIM be a guinea pig. She take 30mg a day for depression so i figured 20mg snorted wouldnt kill her. Ah well, It was a failed experiment. Anyway, just got a new script for ritalin filled so at least SWIM can be on a speed high all week.

Just exactly what would be the risk involved with ingesting crushed alprazolam? I'm trying to puzzle this one out, and am failing. Do you mean if a bunch of tablets are crushed together so that one no longer knew what dosage they were taking?

The main downside to snorting xanax, in SWIM's opinion, is that it just wouldnt work. Doesnt seem to absorb well nasally at all.

It was mentioned as being taken orally. However I made a mistake when reading it, and thought the poster had said it was a bad experience, when in fact they said the opposite.

Lilysleeper - Xanax is one of the fastest-acting drugs SWIMs ever taken orally. I don't think that crushing the tablets will cause any noticable difference in the onset time. There's nothing wrong with it, but it seems sort of a waste of effort. Besides, Xanax is one nasty-tasting drug!

Well, normally i would agree with you, but the xanax SWIM gets is unfortunately the Extended release. Swim has to crush it to have the same strength as regular xanax. Then they usually mix it with applesauce

And SWIM would NEVER snort xanax! I know how bad the shit swim gets sticks to your mouth if your not quick about swallowing. I dont wanna know what it would do to ones sinuses!

Dont snort the zoloft, it has 0 recreational value. however, if one is looking for a high just by popping a few, it will work. But not much and has major reprocutions. First it will give the user a massive stomach ache, followed by vomitting for a few hours. And then the hallucinations will kick in. But the entire time the user will have a stomach ache and a headache so the user cant even enjoy it. On top of top of that one would have a really hard time falling asleep for the next few days. So, if a high is wanted.... look elsewhere. Zoloft is no good for abuse.

Do not try to abuse sertraline. SwiPA took 300 mg on top of a large spaghetti dinner and puked it all up in about 20 minutes. Terrible side-effects and a weak or possibly nonexistant buzz.

sniff fluoxetine(prozac)
I wonder what happens if sniff a powder of capsule containing fluoxetine(prozac).Does it work faster,any other side effects,than the usual.Is it dangerous?
