Rodriguez - Sugarman

The song was recorded in the late sixties/early seventies. An American, Rodriguez achieved fame in Australia and New Zealand before obscurity from 1979-. Meanwhile unknown to Rodriguez, he became a household name in (white) South Africa- his album "Cold Fact" went multi-platinum in SA and became a cult classic with 1/4 million copies sold to date. Rodriguez "discovered" his fame in South Africa in 1998 after his daughter googled the family name and found a website dedicated to her father.

This song, Sugarman, is about the relationship between drug-dealer and drug-user.
