Getting a Cough

So SYIM has had a really bad cough now for about a week, this came on about one week after SYIM first smoked salvia, having never smoked anything before, could it be related ? This is one nasty cough, or is it just coincidence (SYIM never get coughs normally so this one is really annoying)
