Best drug to get through time in jail?

Sadly swim is going to be put away for awhile... Last time he was in the tank he noticed that most of the inmates were getting drugged up on Seroquil and amyltryptamine to just sleep the time away by the jail doctor. Swim's own doctor is a pretty nice guy and would most likely help him get an Rx if swim thinks it will be helpful for whatever reason. That being said, what do you think swim should ask for that would help drown out the endless hours of just rotting away in a cell?? Obviously, opiates would be out of the question lol but swim can get scripts of benzos... Do you think maybe a benzo-amyltryptamine combo might help knock swim out from the hell he is about to face?? Any suggestions???

If I was being sent on a state-sponsored vacation - and I'd be more likely to be shot down in the streets by a death-squad - I'd get a nice Chess-Set. Chess is a fantastic game that teaches one to think in myriad directions at once. Tweaks the brain to function in ways most are unaware exist. Even if surrounded by utter morons, you'd likely find one other person who would enjoy playing you. And you can even play yourself.

And if Big Mongo p'woove he tuff and eets yer chess-set, another can be fashioned out of most anything. It's all in the mind.

So the choice is: Use your mind and grow it. Or let the State slowly scrape it down to the level of a Pavlovian Dog.

Seriously if its not too long get a bunch of books. mix up non fiction and fiction. Ever read Atlas Shrugged? If you havnt you should! Pikhal?? Another great book. The lord of the ring trilgoy? Classical poetry? Freakanomics? Hell did you ever goto college? Buy some text books (I got a used econ text book for 5 dollars off ebay perfect condition...) and teach your self basic level Chem Bio and Economics. Learn calculus or number theory! Serioiusly you have a couple week-couple month- couple year break. Use it! This time in your life willnever come back to you! you have but one life to live waste not a single min of it!

When SWIM was locked up SWIM wrote incessantly. SWIM wrote stories, music and random thoughts. SWIM would get so caught up in the worlds SWIM had created that SWIM would lose days of time. Of course, this is a little on the schizo side, but it worked. SWIM also liked chess and cards. Cards for social skill and chess for intellectual skill. Both are great teachers..
Otherwise, seroquel might be better than elavil due to it being more intensely sedating, though both are ass-kicking sedatives. Add a benzo to either and it would be coma-land. Of course, elavil is an antidepressant so may have other beneficial effects besides sleep-induction. Good luck and SWIM/s sympathies. That sucks..

I love how nag wrote that but the points there and best to occupy your time anyway u can really. mind entertainment. meditation is a good thing to perfect. Perfecting any other activities. education courses if available.

I know it seems easier to just get fucked up and pass swiy's time in prison in the easiest way possible. But does swiy really wanna be released from prison into an opiate or benzo addiction ? Doesnt sound like a clean break to swim.

Alicia is dead right....meditation would be a great idea. As are the other response's....chess, cards, reading, writing. Perhaps study music and take up an instrument. Learn as much as swiy can so he has a lot more options when he is released.

Swim thinks that hitting the gym is a good idea too, get swims body and mind into peak condition and swiy will be more than prepared to get his life back on track when he is out. Good luck with it all man.

If you want to forget you went to jail at all using RX, tell them you're suicidal and they'll put you in your own cell and dose you with antipsychotics to keep you asleep, tell them its not enough and youre still crazy and maybe theyll give you 300mg/ 3xday of seroquel. the good thing about solitary is no one will buttrape you when youre knocked out. just wake up for food water and pee and poop. f*ck jail.

since when do they allow pens and pencils in county jail, lucky to get a book, ...let alone internet access?

or hit the weights and make friends and reflect.

SWIM had access to a pen and paper for writing for a set set of time, and otherwise scraped things in the walls or memorized them, then transcribed them. SWIM has not been jailed in decades, but it was not that hard to get something to write with back then.
SWIM could not get near the exercise equipment since it was being hogged by all assholes.

Swim would love to bring his O chem books to jail among some other great Hemingway or F. Scott Fitzgerald books... but they would never let swim bring those in. And the library here is absolute shit- last weekend swim was reading a 1970's version of Encyclopedia Britanica to pass the time (everything else were TRASHY novels). Really all swim can do is bullshit with the people around him, spread education on various reduction techniques LoL, and stay away from the guy with Hep C. Not to mention swim's unability to sleep on their mattresses that kinda resemble the same material as a wrestling mat... Swim just needs some advice on how to make the time fly (he would like life to just be a waking dream). What should swim ask his PA for?? At least swim gets to finish his finals before turning himself in.

flee the country jk...it would be better to be awake during your stay there, do you recall the shower scene from half baked or american history x?from what iv herd about county is that if your white, small and not affiliated with gangs your going to have to deal with alot of shit.one guy i knew said that one small filipeno guy was in there and a big mexican guy was his cell mate and told him that he was going to suck him off willfully or he would take his cheeks,its pretty easy to guess what the filipeno guy chose.not ment to scare u just be prepared. if anything swiy should swollow some triple layerd condoms with whatever substance in them,and then give them to one of the bigger dudes for protection.

LOL!!!! That must be comforting...

SWiM read a lot of books in prison, and he also smoked some weed and hash to get through the months. It was fine, once he got over the frustration of knowing that he was being stored in a human warehouse. He met a lot of cool people in there, some of them have become his friends. He also learned a lot of humans in general, there were some originals in there to say the least...
