Spiritual - Mushroom Users: Ever Encounter the "Entity"?

Terence McKenna talks about an entity that he encounters on high doses of mushrooms (5g or more). It's like a "mushroom goddess" that can be soothing and nurturing like a mother, or vicious and fierce like a tyrant. SWIM was just wondering if anyone's had this encounter.

Bongo met the "Spirit" of the mushroom. Told him his name and asked him what he wanted. Told Bongo he wasn't ready and wrote words in the air in colors and pushed Bongo down a cliff. Said he's see him again. He did. And taught Bongo a powerful lesson.

SWIM felt something along the lines of a "mushroom goddess" on a high dose of boomers before. It was during a very intense part of the trip but it did feel soothing and nurturing. Almost like the subconcious accepting the sheer intensity of the trip and reminding itself to reassure SWIM that all was good.

Ok this is slightly scary, recently swim had a very intense trip (which he intends to write about another day) on 40gram fresh Psilocybe cubensis Mexican. During the most intense part of the trip, SWIM was merging into his sofa and other objects, where swim suddenly met what he could only later describe as a female entity. SWIM said she was colourful and weird shapes, and swim can hardly describe what she looked like, but the feeling of comfort and happyness or contentness was most certainly there. Before this part of the trip, swim was experiencing things that he could only use the word "insane" to describe after the trip. This was swims first real true trip and was scary, happy, sad, angry and losing complete touch with reality all at the same time.

The point being, what swim finds weird is that other people have also met this 'entity', swim and his 2 friends all stated that they felt almost like they were connected in another way other than speaking at certain points of the trip. This is something swim needs to explore further...

No need to jump to any conclusions. There's always the neurological explanation. That is, it's always possible that encountering a motherly and nurturing female presence is one of the effects of psilocybin mushrooms, just like visuals, racing thoughts, euphoria, and all other psychedelic symptoms of this or any other drug. It's a fact that there are centers in the brain responsible for our experiences with other people. That is, the reason why we feel a "presence" - that is, that there is a living, breathing, feeling soul behind the eyes of those we see as our friends and acquaintances - is because the presence of other people happen to stimulate those specific brain centers. If not, we'd experience other people no differently than other objects in our environment. This brain centers can get quite specific, like showing different patterns of activity for male vs. female figures, rough vs. gentle people, friendly vs. mean, and so on. It could be that psilocybin has its effects on these brain centers, and specifically targets the "nurturing female" centers.

This makes a lot of sense, swim finds it incredibly facinating how the brain thinks and processes things in an entirely different manner when under the influence, at points everything made perfect sense some how, but swim doesn't have the vocabularly to possibly describe it as it happened, only to describe it as close as possible. But seeing as many others have experienced such things, i'm sure they have an idea as to what swim means. The whole losing touch with reality thing and out of body experiences were amazing, incredible and slightly scary at points to swim. But definately an experience that has allowed him to explore things in his mind more so, swim however will not be doing such a large dosage for some time. Shrooms are so powerful, definately brilliant for searching the soul for answers etc. Swim has such a large amount of respect for them.

This entity could be "mother nature" if trippin outside. swim imagines the phrase "tree hugging" originated from some experience like that.

swia found p.cubensis gr8 teachers in general lost in a dark room with an infinite pulsating cube with cev and the general detached feeling of inner quiet and freedom of conscious that always makes swia immensely peaceful and strangely liberated,always embraced and loved, she can see them recreational but it never appears to her like that, always the same calming voice when at that level. a difficult one to describe.

On 35 mg of 4-aco-dmt + 3 MG of Xanax (was told Xanax Sooths the trip... NOT TRUE for SWIM) He belives he whent into a dream state where he wassent actually a dream, but felt much like it and couldent really remeber he even whent there untill it was over, but did have a type of black out in the peak of the trip where he was just rolling around on the floor and cant remember much but SWIM belives this is when "it" happend.

It pretty much felt just like a dream but SWIM had the strongest feeling of the feeling you get from waking from a nightmare and relizing it was all fake, but it was as if life was the nite mare and SWIM was waking up for the first time out of his life and relized how silly it is to worry about problems.

The only "enttities" encontered were in a van ( i think) with me. It was a guy a girl and me looking out of the van window into the dessert i belive during a high sand storm, we could see a man struggling to get to the van fighting the wind and we were laughing.

I think it ment that the man struggling to get to the van simbolizes Life, and we were laughing because we were in "heaven" and had already made the same journey as he did and soon new that when he reached the van all his troubles would be over and relize life doesnt matter and he would soon be be feeling the great sense of bliss i was.

Compleatly real trip and the only one like it i have ever had. Dunno why i cant get it to happen again.

o wait, he did tell me he seen this chiwawa (taco bell dog) looking thing comming closer and closer to him, then it melted into the grass and a bunch of green looking snakes divided its image and carried it away.

Labmonkey used to come across figures that looked somewhat like hindu deities that would show him secret symbols and gestures that would open up visions supposedly having to do with metaphysical teachings of some sort. Hard to describe what these "lessons" were as they were totally out of this world. This caused him to take interest in hinduism for a while because he saw that not only did hindu deities look similar to the beings he encountered but tantra supposedly teaches secret symbols and gestures (mudras) that unlock knowlegde of mystical teachings. The things he was shown in the beshroomed state paralelled vedantic philosophy and he frequently saw mandalas. He would have written it off as nothing but he was not familiar with such things before doing mushrooms and acid.

swim did shrooms only twice.

the first time swim took 1g which is very little and didnt expect much but turned out it was much more of a spiritual trip than when he took 2g a week later.

the first time swim was on a psytrance party on open, under the stars, it was really all made to eat shrooms, the beautifull decorations, the music was really great specialy at the time swim was peaking. +the light was pretty dim and almost everyone was intoxicated with some drug so swim really didnt need to care if someone is going to see him acting strangely....a really perfect setting.
swim saw 3 entities, and 2 of them greated him with his hand folded (swim don know is folded the right word....like in india when they say namaste and they "fold" their hands...is claped the right word? ...swim is not a good english speaker, but swim guess you know what swim wanted to say)
and it was beautifull, truly beautifull.
they didnt move or speak or anything but they were truly amazing.

specialy this female entity, she was kinda purpleish, she was naked, had round breasts, she greated swim in the namaste way, she was quite beautifull, not that much sexual but she was very feminine. and at the level of her ears her head was exploding/dissolved in little quadrats painted in beutifull colors. later swim gave her the name bulamp-la.

the other entity was masculine, only his head and his palms touching were seen by swim, he was greenish

swim really doesnt remember much of the third entity other than he had this beautifull white light around his head.

when swim would close his eyes and really feel the music he would see them and when he would open his eyes he was almost normal.

swim saw them all while dancing with eyes closed.
they were pretty much similar to the visionary art you can see by alex grey and others, but yet diferent, and offcours not as vivid as a painting (it was 1g after all)
swim guess the deciding factor was the great atmosphere and music + the shrooms, it was really a spiritual sorounding....



the second time swim and a friend took 2g each but they just ventured around so swim had no real oportunity to close his eyes and was not in a spiritual surounding, but swim saw aztec-like design on the concrete. so swim mostly just laughed the whole time venturing through the city
