Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen Question, please help

alright, well this guy i used to know weighed about 140 pounds and was about 5 ft 4, im not sure if this matters. anyway, he was in possession of three 5 mg hydrocodone/500 mg of acetaminophen pills. the guys was an occasional drinker, but when he would drink he would drink to get drunk, if this guy was to take all 3 of the pills, would the 1500 mg of acetaminophen harm his liver at all? and is the damage permanent, or how long does it last. also how long after taking these pills would it be safe to consume enough alcohol to become intoxicated, sorry if these are dumb questions

These are not dumb questions, as one should ask and learn all they can about drugs and drug combos before beginning such a journey, but they may already be answered elsewhere. SWIM has taken much more than 1500mg of acetaminophen in a single day with no ill effects (except he puked kuz of the high dose of opiates). Not sure about alcohol+the combo...but downers are usually not good in combination alcohol. Plus, the alcohol will just dull the euphoria from the opiates. So if this is like a thing one does not get a chance to do a lot, swim would not waste it buy becoming intoxicated off alcohol.

alright thanks man, but i was asking if itd be alright if that guy got drunk the day after consuming the hydrocodone, or would the acetaminophen still be in his system causing liver damage or something, other opinions would be nice to... thanks

Unless one has advanced liver disease, 1,500mgs. of acetaminophen taken at once won't do much harm - even if one is drinking alcohol. And IF this is a one-shot deal. If this were more often, a CWE is the way to go. Then there's the little matter of narcotics' addiction...

alright thanks man, but also, i know experiences differ, but in general, how much longer after taking this dose (15 mg/1500) would one be safe to drive? and that guy is about 140 pounds, 5ft 4, do you think that 15 mg would even effect him?

for a one time thing, Swim has to agree with Nagnog, 1500 no big deal even one was to drink, now if this was a habitual thing then maybe over the course of time it could be detromental.... have fun

well that guy ended up taking 3 5 milligram pills and reported no nausea, and no effects at all. the last time the guy had taken hydrocodone was two years ago, and didnt feel anything then either? any ideas why?

dont insuflate hydrocodone, it contains apap (asprin) which is bad for your nose, big no no. And 15mg isnt really enough to seriously impair you, but Swim would NEVER drive anywhere after taking a narcotic. If you were to be involved in an accident shit could hit the fan real quick if they do a blood test or something.

APAP is not aspirin it is acetaminophen,and it being bad for ones nose should be the least of swiy's worries.What it does to the liver is the bad thing.And the chemical hydrocodone does not contain APAP it is just most pills that contain hydrocodone also contain acetaminophen,vicodin would be a good example.

If youre not feeling them try taking them before you eat by atleast 30 mins and drink a glass of water.

One could also try, potentiating with some tums also. This will increase the plasma levels

It all depends on the individual in question...there are alot of things to take into account.

In short: Don't take the hydros if you plan to drive.
