Difference between weed and haze?
SWIM just move to the Netherlands and whenever he goes to a coffeeshop he sees three lists on the menu, one for hash, one for weed and one for haze. Now, he doesn't really understand what the difference between weed and haze is, haze is supposed to be stronger, but he sees pretty good weed on the "weed list" also, like white widow, nlx, etc. So he's really confused as to what the real difference is. Or is it just a marketing scheme? because haze is usually much more expensive.

Re: Difference between weed and haze???
Haze is a specific strain that was developed in the Bay area of California during the 70s, it's a stable mix of Columbian, Mexican, Thai and Jamaican, it's either a pure Sativa or very sativa dominant. Any strain that has haze in the name is one that has haze as a parent and so has haze in the genetics. An example: Skunk Haze ~ A cross of skunk no.1 with Original Haze. I suspect the Hazes are more expensive because they are generally harder than most to grow, take longer to flower and produce somewhat skimpy yields.

Re: Difference between weed and haze???
So that means that there really is no difference in quality or potency between weed and haze? If that is so, SWIM should just buy weed for the sake of his wallet?

Re: Difference between weed and haze???
Well the difference is in the quality or getting the strain to produce quality bud. It takes an expert with a caring touch to grow really well and a lot of time and effort is put in, it's a connoisseurs weed. It's all weed, swim should just buy what he likes the taste and high off.

Re: Difference between weed and haze???
This separation is something like a list for destilled and another for fermented. Both are alcohol, but people tends to classify it that way...

Re: Difference between weed and haze???
Purple is about the only haze 'some stoner dude who is a very lot like swim, but actually isn't' doesn't like. His standard is silver haze, but he can enjoy a good mexican or amnesia haze just as well.

Re: Difference between weed and haze???
haze in general is like a classic old school strain which is 100% sativa genetics.the high and taste are unique, swim guesses its kind of a rare strain cause its so hard to grow and maintain
