Hydrocodone and Chlorpheniramine

SWIM got some capsules of 5mg Hydrocodone/25mg Chlorpheniramine, SWIM already has tolerance to opiates because he has been taking lots of Tramadol and Codeine.
How much SWIM should take to get a good high of Hydrocodone? and also, how much Chlorpheniarmine is dangerous?

I'd be cautious about taking too many of those, since Chlorpheniramine, being an antihistamine may make you drowsy... Plus you'd probably want to take into consideration some antihistamines can cause severe delerium in higher doses... I don't know much about this particular antihistamine and didn't bother to look the drug up, but things to keep in mind when thinking about taking very many of these at once. Maybe you could stash them for help with WDs if nothing else.

swim agrees with laudaphun. Isn't Chlorpheniramine the ingredient in a certain dxm containing brand of cough suppressant that makes it un-useable for recreational purposes? swim is pretty sure that for someone with even just medium opiate tolerance to get a good high from these they would have to take an unsafe amount of chloreniramine, like in the 30mg area at least.

SWIM is an idiot. It was not 5mg Hydrocodone/25mg Chlorpheniramine, but 5mg Hydrocodone/2.5mg Chlorpheniramine ¬_¬

Well, now that these pills seems a lot safer to take, how much can SWIM take to get a strong buzz? 5, 6 pills? keep in mind SWIM already has some tolerance to opiates.

swim would say try six pills, swiy can dose again if it isnt strong enough, but when trying a new opiate swim thinks its generally smart to start a little lower than is instinctive! also swim would still be cautious of the Chlorpheniramine, a google search yielded that 24mg in one day is the max dose so swiy should be ok but swim recomends researching it more before dropping just incase!

Just becareful and do your research on the Chlorpheniramine, I'd say try 2 or 3 pills just to get a feel for the antihistamine component. Sometimes people will find different substances that they happen to be hypersensitive to... better to find out that you are hypersensitive to Chlorpheniramine with a few mgs in your system than 10 or 20mgs

Swim has no advice for Swiy regarding the correct dosage of the hydrocodone/chlorpheniramine capsules needed to achieve the desired effects.

That said, it is important that you tell Swiy that chlorpheniramine is known to potentiate the analgesic effects of hydrocodone (as well as most other opiates/opioids). This means that a lower dose of hydrocodone combined with chlorpheniramine can produce effects similar to higher doses of hydrocodone on its own. Swim is sorry for not being able to quantify the degree of potentiation caused by the chlorpheniramine but he is sure that either a search of the forum or a google search will yield satisfactory results for Swiy.

In addition, you should tell Swiy to be careful with chlorpheniramine because overdoses can be extremely dangerous as evidenced by the highly publicized deaths of adolescents who ingested high doeses of products like Coricidin Cold and Cough (containing Dextromethorphan and Chlorpheniramine) in order to get high off of the DXM.

Mmm...all of those things, if too much is taken, can exacerbate narrow angle glaucoma, and even in otherwise healthy people, cause a catastrophic increase in pressure behind the eyes, and can cause blindness. Also delirium, dehydration, psychosis arrhythmia and palpitations.
Probably not in sedating doses though, mostly these all occur with people seeking a hallucinogenic effect, but still, be careful.
