Experiences - Bad Trip: LSD or DOx?

swim considers himself to be experienced w/ lsd. having taking lsd at least 100+ times the bulk of which occured in the mid 90's. In his 30 years of life swim has only had 1 short lived bad trip which was strictly mental and not severe as swim was able to quickly mentally overcome the negative emotion that was taking hold and ultimately turn that trip into a good experience.

last night swim took two hits of blotter and had a bad reaction. it had been 3 or 4 years since swims last lsd experience. a friend of swim believes it was all in swims head, having been with swim throughout the entire evening. swim is not entirely convinced that there was not a drug induced physiological danger though admits its possible that this experience was just a mental trip.

swim says the problem began about 1 hour after ingestion and lasted for 1 hour and 1/2 though felt like forever. swim first felt his heart pounding in his chest abnormally, at a greater speed than was comfortable for him. swim immediatly laid down on the couch closing eyes and focused on breathing trying to bring heartrate under control and not panic. it took all of swims mental capability at the time to focus on breathing. In between thoughts that consisted of concious instruction to vital functions and reassurances that swim only had to wait the drugs effects out were the thoughts of needing medical assitance which obviously did nothing to calm or comfort swim in his condition. swim was stuck , feeling helpless and scared in this state of being.

after about 1 and a half hours it was noticable that less thought was being devoted to swims breathing and heartrate and swims feelings of panic were fading. swim was beginning to process the rest of the world again and though not quite there for another couple hours swim was regaining control and feeling safe again. 3 or 4 hours in and swim was finally able to relax, smoke a bowl and enjoy the residual effects.

swim is concerned because swim has been under heavy doses many times (5-10 hits at a time) and swim has never felt like his body would fail him like was felt during this latest experience.
im interested in comments, speculation regarding swims episode.

Without knowing anything more about this blotter - I'd say there is a possibility that SWIM may have taken a DOx molecule - which are known to carry a heavier bodyload than LSD-25. Especially if a double-dose were involved.
