Swim figures that if we are to have a funniest experiance thread we should have a worst experiance thread too. swim knows that many people find this drug too intense, or dislike it for other reasons. maybe those swimmers could post their bad experiances here so people can see the potential bad side to salvia use.

I'm sure there are quite a few bad trip reports in the Salvia trip reports thread..but here is SWIM's:

First time SWIM did Salvia..alone (bad idea), she hadn't even really smoked weed all that much at that time (only experience with anything was with alcohol and maybe 2 times getting high from mj)...

SWIM smoked two hits of 10x and felt reality slowly start to slip away, she laid down on the couch and suddenly sat straight up and got up and started walking around her house freaking out, putting things away, it was like her head was on another person's body..she couldn't control what her body was doing. She was convinced that the Salvia was laced with some chemical and that she'd be like that forever. At one point she believed that she had turned into her mother and that she would have to soon go pick up her little brother from school, and was dreading the thought of trying to drive.

SWIM then walked back into the room where she started at and felt the presence of three entities sitting on the couch, watching her, as if she were putting on a show, or a movie, and they were her audience. Finally she screamed out loud to tell her body to stop moving/walking and she went to lay down and forced herself to sleep.

That sucked. SWIM has tried Salvia probably a total of 10 times and hated every single time

there's no doubt that thats true, but having said that im sure there are lots of funny trip reports in that thread too and there's still a funny experiance thread. just trying to even out the universe! maybe swim is being ridiculous but if someone was to come onto the site and click into that funny experiance thread looking for info they might be more inclined to try salvia without researching the bad sides and preparing properly!... if mods think its pointless delete it!

Swim took a hit of some 10X and was then almost instantly taken by salvia gravity. The next events after that are very hard to explain however I'll try by saying... Swim felt like he was dead to the world yet he could still experience emotions. Thoughts of family members and friends raced through his mind as he tried to compute the fact that he was non-existent. He could not communicate nor walk, this all adding to idea that he was dead. His vision was taken as well... his thoughts are what played like scenarios in his head.

The overall experience lasted for something like 10-15 minutes however it felt much longer.

Also after swim came down he was drench in sweat.

Christ, swim would be heart broken.

Swim has never personally had anything but good experiences even when a friend of his flipped out and dragged swim my the scruff of his neck down a hallway shoutting about his parents coming home and needing to tidy up. All the while swim thought he was about 5 years old and was being dragged down the hall of his old house.I guess thats a fairly typical bad trip with sally though, lots of reports of people having a bong then going mad trying to tidy up.

SWIM can relate to what you describe very well. SWIM used to believe that he had an understanding of what amnesia really was. SWIM had much to learn.

SWIM used to think that amnesia probably meant forgetting who he was, or perhaps where he was. However, SWIM had no idea as to the actual depths/levels of amnesia. It's one thing to forget who SWIM is, but it's an entirely different thing to forget what SWIM actually is. To forget ones place in existence is one of the scarriest things that SWIM has ever experienced. Fortunately for SWIM, probably 75% of the experience was lost due to amnesia.

That being said, SWIM's initial threshold experiences with salvia were fun and innocent, and in no way prepared SWIM for what lay beyond the threshold.

Swim would like me to tell you about his first breakthrough. Swim and his roommate had ordered an ounce of Salvia leaf from an on-line vendor and received it. The two of them only had a small pipe and a couple of bic type lighters to work with. Swim would smoke the salvia and get annoying body highs but nothing else, swim's roommate got interesting visuals, fireflies, the angles in the room going away (they became rounded). On a payday, swim went out to a local headshop and bought a nice new water pipe. brought it home and showed it to the roommate who was excited to give it a try, later in the evening. However, later in the evening, swim's roommate's girlfriend came over, and swim's roomate became excited about something else and sequestered himself and her into his room for a few hours. So, swim was alone (basically), with a bag of salvia and a new bong. Swim thought to himself "What's the worse that can happen?" Figuring that maybe he might get some of those cool visuals, and have a bit of an easier time smoking. So, swim sits on his bed, packs a bowl, sucks it down (much nicer with the water pipe), still using the bic lighter, puts the pipe and lighter down, blows out the smoke (took two hits to do the whole bowl) and this sort of green and red tiled, liquid thing sort of bubbled up from the bottom of his vision, then everything changed. Swim was sitting on his bed, swim was watching himself sit on his bed (from an upper corner of the room) and swim was riding a color wave. All at the same time. Occasionally for a few moments, there was only the swim sitting on the bed. At these points, he would try to stand up, fail utterly, and then laugh maniacally. Finally swim came back to himself enough to stand up. He was pretty freaked at this point (the good thing is he has done salvia many times since and has never freaked again) and felt a very strong desire to get out of his room right that second! He left the room and walked around the living room in circles for five minutes or so, worried about the fact that he would never get back to baseline, but he did. Swim says that first experience was very weird....

SWIM has done salvia many times and none of them were very pleasant, so it's hard to pick one.

A couple experiences SWIM remembers:

Smoking salvia downstairs and then trying to take a drink upstairs, taking a couple steps, dropping the drink, looking down at it with puzzlement, picking it up, taking another couple steps, dropping it again, same puzzled look, picking it up, repeat 10x.

Smoking Salvia with a friend who'd never tried it before, the friend looking up at the twilight sky and saying "this is the last sunset" and then taking off down the street at a spriny, ripping open the door of SWIM's car, yelling we had to get to "the store" before dark, and trying to drive it...except SWIM had the keys. Scared the shit out of SWIM because he was fucked up too.

SWIM taking a full bowl bong rip out of 50x one day because he was strung out and ran out of everything else, ending up on the floor convinced he was on a rollercoaster, and that the rollercoaster was his life, and that when the rollercoaster ended so would he, and then the final hill was coming and feeling of falling and then he blacked out, woke up several minutes later confused as hell.
