5x Extract vs. Plain Leaf

Does 5x smell any different from plain leaf in normal form and while being smoked? Is it harder to smoke for a beginner smoker (will it feel stronger to smoke and more difficult to inhale) SYIM is not talking about the effects of those two variations of Salvia.
