Negative effects from not straining out Kava-kava powder?
SWIM has a pound of kava root powder on the way, and was curious as to whether or not adverse effects would arrise from not straining the excess powder from SWIM's drink. SWIM wouldn't mind a bit of a chunky drink, but, say, excess nausea would be undesirable.

Swiy should experience no ill effects simply from not straining the kava, but you would be ingesting a hell of a lot of fibre though, so probably best to avoid elevators for a while after drinking it

SWIM experiences severe stomach discomfort if a toss'n'wash or non-strained preparation is consumed. SWIM seems to always react with a little bit of disturbed tummy day after kava has been used, but without straining, it comes directly and mercilessly.

SWIM just finished some finely powdered root which SWIM slugged whole. SWIM has not found it to be particularly nauseating. However, SWIM also has some kava root that is meant to be strained and is much coarser. SWIM bets this courser grind would cause indigestion. Check to see how fine a powder SWIY getting to help decide.

what effects does fiber have on the stomach? SWIM has never experienced any problems neither with kava nor with kratom, which both has a lot of fiber. he does have a sensitive stomach when it comes to alcohol or even mushrooms.

Swim not clean out straining cloth from previous kava batch and thought no biggie,but when swim make new batch swim get wretching and nausea from (probably) food poisoning. Swim didn't use kava straight away,instead kept it in a bottle for later use the next day. So please make sure you clean up after making kava....

It can swell a bit, when it is really dry. Fibers are essential for your digestive system. You would be constipated, if you didn't take fibers. SWIM thinks the opposite will probably happen -well, certainly, swim ate once a whole 'ontbijtkoek', a fiber rich dutch bread variant, a very bad idea-, your visits to the toilet become more frequent.
