Is this a normal high?
SWIM got some new weed and he used it. Both times he had really really good highs. His body tensed up but it felt really really good. And it felt like he was floating and being held (he's feeling that now). The first time it happened it scared him but now he likes it. Is that normal because he hasn't heard of anyone else having that.

Re: Is this a normal high?
Well actually he can't tell if his body is tensing loads or relaxing loads. He thinks it's tensing...
Sorry for double post.. can't edit |

Re: Is this a normal high?
SWIM has smoked quite a few times but he thinks he wasn't smoking enough because he's only just started having these really good highs. He thinks it might just be because he is thinking about floating... it just feels really good so it can be anything.
SWIM is still high now and it's getting harder to type. |

Re: Is this a normal high?
Simply put, no one can tell you what a normal high is. Everyones body chemistry is just to differen't. There is no "normal".

Re: Is this a normal high?
That sounds like a perfectly normal pot high. The floating feeling, like you're gripped with a mild energy and are just swimming happily through the oxygen, is a typical symptom for most people, hence people say they feel "high". And it's fairly normal that when you someone first feels that body high, heightened pulse, and that slightly altered state, they might be paranoid or alarmed by it at first before later learning to love it.

Re: Is this a normal high?
Ok.. SWIM has realised that is normal now and he has enjoyed it many times but the other day he did have a really weird experience.
He smoked a normal amount and expected to get high but he didn't really. Then he just felt a bit worried for no reason and got like a shiver as his heart rate increased. Then his senses got kind of mixed up. He could taste the sounds in his mouth and hear an itch on his forehead. He thought that was strange and got a bit paranoid which then made the whole thing crap because he couldn't take his mind off it. Is that normal? |

Re: Is this a normal high?
Swim and his friend smoked a new batch and had the same feelings. Swim's friend's heart started to "jump" out of his chest, swim could feel his heart popping out... But swim and his friend wern't high. Then swim and his friend got paranoid for what seemed like ages, but then swim and his friend started to go onto the computer and the paranoia left.

Synesthesia from pot... not a dangerous symptom, but pretty abnormal and rare. Pot commonly causes slight intensification of the senses, but very rarely blending of the cognitive processing of those stimuli. I'm sorry it startled SWIY; SWIM would have been overjoyed to get such an interesting result from such a light drug. |
