Is sleep a carrier for the most natural psychedelic experience? (DMT)
There's a theory that the pineal gland in the brain secretes naturally produced DMT that is a key factor to dreams. If sleep weren't naturally induced, would it not be considered a drug?
- It provides true auditory and visual hallucinations. - It depresses the CNS. - It causes serious withdrawal symptoms. - It alters the user's state of awareness and consciousness -There's the possibility of dependence, although tolerance builds up rapidly (within a few hours). -Can be a euphroic/aphrodisiac as well as a catalyst for a traumatic experience. I think dreams are the most personal psychedelic trip one could have, a majority of the time, dream dictionaries tell me what I've known all the time, but are getting confirmed by my dreams. Does DMT play that large a role in REM sleep? |
