It was forty years ago today the Beatles classic masterpiece Sgt. Peppers was released.

So, a time to put that record on.

Swim has never liked the Beatles really and doesn't understand what made them so great.Now the Stones thats another story.The Beatles were just a bunch of boring,peace loving,hippies on acid.The Stones were in a sense some of the earliest punks.Shocking in their day,the majority of them junkies,and quite a few songs about hard drug use.

Yeah.... Never cared for the Beatles much. So much other, better, music was produced during that period. How the hell did THEY get to be so popular? Meh, whatever, not a big deal. I can listen to them sometimes, but I don't really like their songs much.

Never understood their popularity.Can't really understand the popularity of alot from the sixties.The Greatful Dead for example oh my such boring music.Swim guesses all the lsd added something to it because these people couldn't really have liked it.Swim is just greatful bands like The Velvet Underground and The Stooges came along and made it possible for us to have "dark"music nowadays.If not people might be still clamboring in outdoor venues on hot summer nights,with their dog in a bandana,playing frisbee,smoking pot and waiting to see some boring suck ass band like the eagles.
