Question Panic attacks on E, worsened by THC

SWIM's two last rolls (about a year ago) went straight to hell, possibly because of THC.

SWIM was doing a lot of psychedelics at the time (mostly shrooms a bit too often, and a lot of hash/pot).

On he's first bad roll, SWIM had the best roll of his entire life, until he went up to go to the bathroom right after smoking a joint. SWIM was just finished taking a piss when SWIM's pure euphoria went over to pure, dark panic for two seconds. This completely ruinded SWIM's roll and he fell asleep on a dark amphetamine-like roll.

On the next roll, about a month + after the first described roll, SWIM first took one pill on Friday night and fell asleep before the effects really kicked in. On the day after, SWIM took two pretty good pills (same batch) in the afternoon (SWIM is 6'8" btw) and had a good roll for the first hour or so. Then SWIM had a mild version of the last panic attac, which again ruined his roll, but not to the same extent. Bad crowd, location made it impossible to come back up, and the roll changed into a slightly speedy and psychedelic roll (like a difficult mushroom trip). Then SWIM went home to sleep it off, but SWIM decided to make the dumbest decision of his entire life; smoke a joint to sleep more easily. This produced SWIM's most unpleasant and horrifying experience to date, where he was sure that he was about to lose his mind.

The following weekend, SWIM got REALLY drunk, then REALLY stoned at an afterparty, then went home and ate some fresh Cubensis mushrooms, which felt good for the first hour or so, then went over and into a 20-hour-long panic attack (not insanely uncomfortable like his previous experience). It felt like SWIM's brain had shut down the flow of seratonin for that period, and the world seemed like a cold, dead. Those 24 hours triggered random panic attacks-flashback style, which resembled the anxiety issues SWIM had experienced as a kid after being subscribed an allergy medicine that SWIM didn't react well to. Since then, SWIM hasn't done any other drugs than THC about once a month and alcohol, and the panic attacks has decreased to a level where they're not bothering SWIM anymore.

Any thoughts on what happened to SWIM? Has SWIY experienced anything like this before?

Would it be safe for SWIM to try E again? SWIM has no interest of doing any other psychedelics ever again, but it still quite intrigued by E.

Thanks (first post)

Re: Panic attacks on E, worsened by THC

So SWIM got really drunk and went home and took psilocybin mushrooms. Let's use this part of your missive as an example of what may have gone wrong.

Did SWIM take the mushrooms to get high? I'm going to guess this was the reason.

If so - SWIM is using an extremely powerful tool in a very slip-shod manner. Not dissimilar to getting drunk and playing with a chainsaw. Or driving a car. It's this sort of disrespect for psychedelics that cause a great many of the bad-trips people hear about. As was, it sounds like SWIM got let off rather easy. There is another bad-trip report kicking around where the person was torn into mental fragments through similar actions.

Many people have a paranoid reaction to THC (Cannabis). It's advised that if one finds this to be the case that they not use it. And psychedelics magnify one's feelings/thoughts. Entactogens such as MDMA can do the same - though to a lesser degree.

It would be suggested that SWIM asks himself some serious questions about what he is taking drugs for. If it's just to get high with no strings attached - then for Crimminey's sake stay away from psychedelics.

Re: Panic attacks on E, worsened by THC

That night when I came home, drunk and stoned, it was definetly just to get high. But before that, I was definetly not consuming psychedelics just for fun. People often said to me that they looked up to me when it came to my personal relationship to psychedelics. In the beginning, my use of psychedelics was about as healthy as it could have been, but during a period before this experience, I was trying to force a lot of my earlier breakthroughs on to myself, which lead to the over-use. The last experience with mushrooms that I wrote about in my post, was my first, last and only careless abuse of psychedelics.

I experienced a strong and positive afterglow during my first MDMA-experience. I did not go to a rave or a party, I stayed at home with a good friend of mine that I truly relate to on many levels, and we talked all night. I came to terms with some underlying issues that night, so right now, I'm intruged by the potential that E can have to surface a lot of the things I feel that I have surpressed during the last year

Any chance that anyone know where one can find the report that was mentioned?
