Please list your favorite brand of dipping tobacco, chewing tobacco, swedish snus portions.

From SWIY's experiences, what was the best brand and type?... worst brand and type?....best/worst flavors?.... long cut/snuff? portion?

Just hoping for reviews on smokeless tobacco products so that SWI-us can no longer waste money sampling all sorts of things.

here are some SWIM had tried.

SKOAL apple-- dry, poor quality, tobacco, poor nicotine delivery, strange taste.

Copenhagen (original) LONG CUT --good flavor, moist tobacco, mild to hard hitting nicotine.

Grizzly mint/wintergreen long cut-- wintergreen flavor preferable to mint, very acidic, moist but needs to be rolled around on tongue so it doesn't burn through gums. Cheap, strong nicotine delivery, but tobacco quality and additives are questionable.

SWIM usually chews Cope Snuff & Cope Black.

SWIM also enjoys some Redman(esp. the Golden Blend), Levi Garret, & Mail Pouch.

I use Grizzly Wintergreen Long-Cut, it's cheap and good. Stays moist. Other good flavor is mint. The Straight tastes like rubber.

Kodiak Wintergreen Long-Cut is one of the best. It's always moist, never dries out, flavor lasts long. It hits pretty hard.

All SKOAL products are usually dry. Some flavors are nice -- wintergreen, peach, the newest flavor (i forgot) tastes like bubblegum.

Copenhagen (regular) isn't that nice, IMO. I would have preferred the long-cut.

Yeah... Cope itself is an acquired taste... and the snuff takes a good bit of practice to get it right without making a mess. It's a pain at first. But the cut is much easier on your gums.

I don't know if this is a personal experience, but has anyone else had this happen?

When using the Copie (non-long-cut), i find it dries out VERY quickly, even after just a few spits, and sticks to my gums -- horrible to get out.

SWIM finds that Copenhagen Long Cut and would imagine all other cuts of the "original" do dry out fast and leave the user with cottonmouth.

SWIM tried Copenhagen STRAIGHT which is a newer sweetened version of the Original.
SWIMs conclusion: too sweet, makes SWIM want to swallow, just toooo sweet.

SWIM has also come across Swedish Snus too which is yet to be evaluated.

SWIM recently received several tins of SNUS, tried General brand ONYX and Catch Brand Eucalyptus so far

ONYX is a very dark tobacco flavor, somewhat unpleasant to swallow saliva though

Catch Eucalytpus is quite pleasant, no problems swallowing salivation.

SWIM been dippin for a few years now and pretty much went through every kind. Best by far for SWIM is Grizzly Wintergreen. It is moist, full of flavor, and get a lot of nicotine. SWIM also likes Kodiak Wintergreen. Made by the same company that makes Grizzly. Kodiak is a bit better quality but seems more dry and is twice the price. SWIM thinks Skoal is dry and doesn't get much nicotine from it. Copenhagen is pretty good but an aquired taste is needed and is also expensive. All the other cheap brands besides Grizzly like Husky, Longhorn, Timber Wolf, and other brands either seem either dry, bad quality, or just nasty flavor. To SWIM Grizzly is by far best for price and quality, moistness, flavor, and nicotine.

SWIM likes Those pouch snus:

Ettan: a pure tobacco taste wich is kind of salty after a while, only in sweden i think.

Mocca mint: a nice snus with a little tobacco taste and a fresh mint flavor, only in swdeden too i think.

Monkey is fond of Longhorn Straight (long cut) dip for the simple fact that it is increadibly cheap (only a around three bucks as opposed to the eight or nine dollars that other brands go for, yikes!) and he figures dip is dip is dip. He's not into flavored shit, espesially if it costs more. Smokeless tobacco as a whole is pretty gross though and he hopes to sever his ties to nicotine dependence all together sometime in the not too distant future. Started dipping to stop smoking, thinking the grossness of the habit would disuade him from adopting it as a full replacement. Turns out it's not gross to do, only to see

swim used to dip skoal as well as copenhagen on a regular basis until he discovered snus. snus provides a better buzz in swims opinion and does not contain fiber glass.

however, if snus is not available, swim would prefer skoal citrus pouches over anything else. the taste is quite pleasant.

General (loose) is my favourite, closely followed by Gotlandssnus (loose) which comes in various flavours. They are quite strong, General in particular. Snus rocks!

Yeah, loose snus is pretty good, but i only use it at holiday like home in front of the tv.

Otherwise i use ettan portion when im too lazy to make one out of loose snus

Hehe "portion snus" doesn't work for SWiM, he needs at least 10 of them at once, way to expensive + they contain half as much tobacco as loose snus. They are tasty though and you wont have a mess in your mouth

My favorite snuff is Red Bull

I think, it's one of the strongest snuffs out there.

I have also tried snuss and cigarettes (smoking 'em when my snuff is ended), and clearly I like snuff most of the tobacco products. It gives you very hard nicotine "rush", very nice on opiates, very good...
