hello all,
noticed how the psychedelic experience, in its intimacy and uniqueness, also tends to produce some common reactions, thoughts, things swiyou've thought swiyourself and / or heard others say, almost to the point of becoming clichés ?
Just thought it might be interesting to note a few recurent verbal clichés and thoughts swiyou've heard


we never look at ourselves this close

the walls are breathing

don't you understand that it's all inside

"Now I'm going to wake from this dream". SWIM usually has a fear that he'll do something hazardous, and when he's being dragged away by the cops he'll repeat that mantra in his mind while the sane part of him screams, trying to make itself coherent.

Guess he's just a negative nancy.

Also, when SWIM has a particularly weird chain of thoughts he'll think to himself affectionately "Jesus dude, you are a freak". This happens a lot on weed.

"Internet is really cool" is a very common starting statement, with thoughts then diverging into questions and internal discussion of the usefulness of the concept of emergence for explaining social interaction and development in connection to technology and so on. Hours of fun.

Usually during the conclusion to his trips, SWIM sees a weird overlay of a handwritten message on top of everything he looks at, it is most visible when he looks at things with a light-brown hue, such as varnished wood. Needless to say, his attempts at deciphering the message irk him.

SWIM also has, while on LSD, visuals of rainbow coloured "Ban The Bomb" signs that rotate and move around a surface. He wonders if the hippies in the 60s saw the same thing and adapted it as a symbol :P

the colours, just look at the colours

i feel that things are pulsating along in one great rhythm

the tree tops, the canopy, look up there, they look like a cathedral, the structure, the shapes the...
it comes in waves, each one a bit stronger

Swim often finds herself near the end of a long frying session stuck in a loop of
"this is not enlightenment"

"dude, dude, look in the mirror" (proceed to spend a good half hour poking ones self in the face and watching the ripples accross swims cheeks)
"would I like some water?"
"what the fuck?" (this one comes up with every first time user swims ever been with)
