Drug info - 'Reds' and 'Blues'? (Barbiturates)

What exactly are 'reds' and 'blues'? SWIM just got a few .5mg red Xanax pills from a friend, and was wondering if these are what people call 'reds'? They are a definite reddish color, so that got SWIM curious. Thanks

Reds is the slang name for Seconal (sodium secobarbital).

Blues is slang for Amytol (sodium amobarbital).

Both of these are powerful barbituates lasting 2 hours to 5 hours respectively.

Never heard this applied to Xanax.

slang swim hears for xanax: sticks and bars in refference to the 2 mg pills, footballs for anything one mg and below for the pill's oval shape

In benzo products people call xanax 1mg "pink footballs" and Apaurin 10mg cals "blue valium"

in the who's Quadrophenia they refrence to a drug they call blues does swiy think they are refering to amytol? in the movie it makes it seem like it could be some sort of amphetamine but idk

also, SWIH woulld totally be sceptical if offered any color of 5mg Xanax as, if those exist, they'll likely there to sedate a gorilla on rage.

reds are seconal, blues are amphetemines (blue boys) but unsure of the real name. also some folks call ten mg valium, blues.
heres a story about seconal. when I was still pissing the bed I came across a script that belonged to grandma , they were seconal (reds) not knowing shit from a soda, I gave them to a neighbor , he pulled them apart ( capsule) and inside was some loose powder and a ball of powder, the ball of compressed powder was the dope and he took about ten of the balls from ten pills and shot them up , woe that dude was foaming at the mouth and his eyes rolled around in his head . I stuck around for ten minutes or so watching the dude , you want to talk about being scared , I just knew that he was going to die , but I asked if he wanted me to call and he tried to say he was fine. I got the heck out of there, a few days later he knocks on my door askin if I had any more. I lied and said no .
