Buprinex (Buprenorphine)

wondering if anyone else has had an experience.

We used it at the animal hospital I worked at for pain releif.

It's intended for humans and when injected gives a nice high.

damn I miss it.

I bet! I've never used it meself, but I can give you a bit of info. As well as a premed and painkiller, it's used in opiate/opioid withdrawal and maintenance programs(aka Buprenorphine, Subutex). It's a partial opioid antagonist, meaning it's not quite as strong or addictive as many opiate/opioids, but that also means that it may not respond as well to antidotes in overdose, so be careful kittlings!

Like all opiate/opioids it also has a high drug interaction factor, so again be careful if you're taking benzo's, MAOI's or other antidepressants, or anything with a sedative edge.

As I said, never taken it personally, but people I've known say it's a fine little chemical, with less of the downsides of others in the same family. But do be careful.

Sorry, that was meant as a general "Be careful" to anyone reading! Never seen it in injectable form, always tablets, though as premed/vet, suppose it'd have to be...
