i love to hear goldfrapp, their songs are great and their videos are trippy.. i also like that their lyrics kinda have suttle drug undertones... u can check out their videos, here And i also like the atmosphere of zero 7's music, very cool and mellow, and they also got great videos .. the party monster soundtrack also ranks up there, and if want to hear some indian stuff, like bollywood songs, i suggest the lagaan soundtrack, devdas, monsoon wedding, great foreign songs, and the latter album has more techno indian songs as well as traditional songs

for getting stoned you want tunes by the beatles and people like that, for tripping, just experiment, see what you like, i prefer more abstract unusualthings like cLOUDDEAD, lots of psytrance, and quite often some ambient.

ok, i have a few songs. these are def tunes for when you have things like x and would be even better for lsd. id listen to slow stuff if i was on weed or ketamine, or listen to rock, i like any music.

DJ Ross - Emotions(lonely) phonomatika Mix, listen to this song when you aint had a trip, this songs is like a trip. it starts of slow then fast slow fast its such a great song and my favourate song ever. but when your on lsd listen to this song is so cool, like most music is.

Oceanlab - satellite - another great song, vocal trance
DJ sammy - heaven - grean court remix
Heavens cry - till tears do us part
Ian van Dahl - will i
Solitaire - i like love
Da buzz - let me love you tonight

these are all great song that are perfect for when you trippin your head off. there all uplifting tunes as wel, and if your on a pill these alwasy bring me up. that of course if your into this kind of music. dance/trance/hard house

When stoned Pink Floyd og King Crimson is always nice, but I appreciate
most styles of music, prog. rock, acid rock, jazz, singer-songwriter,
chillout/ambient, triphop. I dig alot of Zappa, Bowie and Tom
Waits too.

When I'm trippin' I mostly hear psy-trance or ambient. Psy-trance favorites are: Hallucinogen, 1200 mics and Rinkadink

Ambient favs are: Shpongle - Are You Shpongled? and Bodh Gaya - Ayahuasca.

Tool - Lateralus and Aenima are great for trippin too

I've experimented with classical works also, classical music can have a very powerful effect.

Being a house dj, I would have to recommend some bumping/bangin ass house music. Check out dj dan, donald glaude, bad boy bill if you are in an energetic/dancing type mood.

If you are in chill mode, you have to check out the following:

Manual - this guy is a fucking genius!!!! Seriously. Everyone check out his song Drifting w/ Syntaks. One of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard.
Boards of Canada
Marumari
Aural Float

There are many more bad ass people, but my mind fails me right now. But please, check the above out. There are sure to lift your spirits.

Try classical music.

I love listening to Bach because you can hear all the
different melodies interweaving, dying out and
reintroduced.
It's like experiencing a kaleidoscope of sound.

Polyphony is awesome.

Massive attack sucks u up.

One night I was stoned with a friend of mine. She asked me if i wanted to listen 2 music. So I said why not so she put on this cd of Massive attack. It seemed as if this one song, cant remember the name, took 4ever. During the song I had a feeling of total serenity. When the song ended it was like a slap in my face. I was completely lost. I didnt know what we had been toalkin bout and I didnt what time it was or where my keys where. That song just intensified the power of the weed.

These are my two favourite albums to listen to, whether stoned or tripping:

Tool - Lateralus. This album is just perfect. Whenever I even look at
it, I think of it as the "perfect" cd. Now listening to it is a whole
other story...

Mortiis - Fodt Til A Herske. Called "atmospheric dungeon music" this
album is very epic. No singing, only rare words in Norwegian (I think)
with keyboards, synthesizers, you name it. It's a very well thought out
album

Also anything from Infected Mushroom, Shpongle, Hallucinagen, Pink
Floyd, or even Opeth, In Flames, and Hypocrisy. Although Hypocrisy
could be a little creepy with their alien themes, depending what drug
you're on.

On the electronic tip: I agree with the people who recommended Boards of Canada and The Orb (especially Live 93 and The Orb's adventures Beyond the Ultraworld). I would have to add a few more: this dude called Solvent from Toronto, is especially amazing ambient and kind of poppy but I love it. Also, Bochem Welt is another great ambient artist.

I also like "rockin" music, fast tempo songs where the singer is
screaming his head off and the guitar is "happy" In Flames and
Hypocrisy are main examples, but it can be punk, classic rock, metal,
whatever.

And I seriously think everyone should check out Mortiis. Download one
of his old albums, one of the ones with only 2 tracks on it are the
best. ("Fodt Til A Herske", "Keiser Av En Dimensjon Ukjent" or "Anden
som Gjorde Oppror"

4 Marijuana I like early Bob Marley albums, they really give that relax smoke sphere.

4 X I listen to Goa and DnB. Especially Goa in dark places makes me floath.

and 4 Mushies I listen to (Live) Led Zeppelin. And the Live DvD is awesome too. Just those sounds wich Jimmy Page produces with his gitare make me feel Euphoric.
