Wild Lettuce Defatting Questions

I went through an A/B without doing a defat.
Now ive got a slightly acidic aqueous solution
with alkaloids and there is fat in it.

1) I want to know the best way to defat this if its not too late,
and

2) before i try to get salt formation should i add some
lye/ammonia to bring this to neutral PH?
(i added slightly too much acid to my solvent)

3) Then what is the best way to get salt precipitation,
ive read evaporation and ive also read chill to almost
freezing and that would cause precipitation which could
then be filtered using ice water. Are they both valid methods
and which one is best?
