Methylphenidate Tolerance from Amphetamines

SWIM is an experienced drug user who has experience with a very large amount of illegal/street drugs as well as pharmaceutical drugs.

Recently (about 5-6 days ago) SWIM wanted to give Rx amphetamines a shot as he had never tried them, as he thinks amphetamine is a "dirty" kind of drug.. he doesn't like that sketchy, tweaky high. He decided to give it a shot just for some experience with it, so on that same day (5-6 days ago) he bought 10 of the 30mg Adderall XR.

At 11:30pm that night, he popped one. Long story short, by 7am the next morning he had taken about 240mg. Two days later he wanted to try it again and in total took 90mg and felt no effects. The next day after that, he tried again with only 30mg and felt no effects. About 6 hours ago, he tried it once again, but this time with 15mg Dexedrine Spansules. He took 60mg of the Dexedrine. He felt very little effect, little enough for it to of been a waste of Dexedrine. He thought that since he felt barely anything, he would simply end up being awake for the rest of the night. Well, that was true (he is awake right now at 5:45am), but he is experiencing a horrible crash.

Anyways, as you can see SWIM has built up a large amphetamine tolerance over the past few days. Rather than waiting for his tolerance to go down, he has decided that he is going to experiment with Ritalin instead (he didn't really like the amphetamines). He knows some people say that the amphetamines are far better than Ritalin, and some people say that Ritalin is far better than the amphetamines. He has read a lot about the effects produced by snorting Ritalin and would like to at least give it a try (even if it doesn't work out or it's a "bad experience", at least he will know).

So, his question is this. Although methylphenidate is NOT an amphetamine, he knows it is a closely related substance.. so would his amphetamine tolerance have any effect on his methylphenidate dosage? Note that SWIM has never tried Ritalin before.

siwms an ex methead who use to use ALOT,and hes found hiumslef injecting 90mg of methylphenadate before,while he did get really high he knows this is considered a high amount.and his iv adderall usage is useally around 50-60mg.
