Drug info - Explore Ecstasy

So here's a brief product review from SWIM. Sorry to say that it's brief, but that's because the product was pretty lame and there isn't much worth saying.

The product: Explore Ecstasy

Quotes from the package:

"Rated #1 in Amsterdam" (number one what? SWIM finds this VERY hard to believe)

"Energetic sensations"
"Waves of sensual pleasure"
"Gentle tingling sensations" (About all SWIM will agree with)
"States of nirvana" (BS!)


Ingredients: Ma Huang extract 9% standardized, 675 mg in a base of maltodextrin & magnesium stereate.

So, SWIM ingested these 2 capsules and wandered around a mall. Within an hour, SWIM felt slight tingling sensations in her scalp. This lasted maybe an hour or two tops. This is all SWIM got out of this product. Then SWIM felt sad that she'd wasted her money on it. Sorry it's not much of a report. More so a warning.

You do realize that the only active ingredient here is Ephedrine?

Not really. There is great difference between the effects of ephedrine alkaloids. This product has been sold in holland for many year. If it's still the same it's quite effective as a stimulant and if SWIY breaks it open he will see silver flakes in his herb mix. The product may be spiked with a 4-methyl derative of ephedrine. The total amount of ephedrine alkaloids would then be around 105mg.

Yes, however SWIM didn't know this at the time, and even if that were explicitly stated, SWIM would've tried it at the time because SWIM would like to experiment and had not used ephedrine recreationally before.

As a possibly surprising side note, SWIM has had a much more energetic and happy experience with a medicinal dose of pseudo-ephedrine.

Swim recently ordered a product called Explore from Holland which contained no Ephedra, but L-Arginine, L-Phenylalanine, Taurine, Niacin, Pyridoxine HCL, Epemedium saggitum, Ptychopetalum olacoides (Muira Puama), Ginseng.

Surely the above mentioned ephedra formula would be illegal in most places now, is this a reformulated version or a completely diffrent product?

The product Swim tried was not a good herbal x or stimulant, but Swim recomends as an aphrodisiac

That's a completely different product. I assume SWIY had no effect from this? The whole range of the cobeco products is very disappointing. Also see:
any SWIYs tryed BC2 mindscaping or Dionysos?

I wonder why anyone would pay so much money for just ephedrin.

You can get ephedrin pills at low prices at your pharmacist without hassle. They are in anti-congestion meds. (in the UK and in Belgium at least).

I wouldn't recommend large doses of ephedrin anyway. Swim found the effects can differ a lot from time to time. Sweatiness, high heartrate, slightly "zoning out" instead of being able to concentrate better, etc
