donating plasma and drugs?

Well, the poor broke-ass monkey has found himself needing a few extra bucks to hold things together and buy another few days before starting some part time work next week. He plans on heading down to a nearby plasma donating center but has never donated plasma before. He is wondering if these people check for drugs in your blood, thus making poor monkey unable to get his paltry pittence for his plasma due to getting a little crazy the other night. Anybody know about this?

Given that SWIY would be paid for their plasma SWIJ assumes that they are not in the UK?

She doesn't know about elsewhere, but where she is they only screen for blood-borne viruses, sickle trait, thalassaemia trait and do a spot-check to make sure they aren't anaemic before donating.

Thanks SWIJ, I get the impression it's about the same at this place from looking at their web site but figured I'd ask before monkey walked a few miles to the place. But if it fails, there is a killer donut shop next door so monkey will scrounge up some change so the trip will be worthwhile regardless (mmm, monkey hasn't had donuts in a couple years).
