Concerned about tablets (Request for help with identification)

Ok, so here's the deal.
Swim purchased some tablets that were put across as mescaline tabs.
Swim was skeptical, but the person he was getting them from was someone whom he's known since childhood was partaking in them with him, and swore they were 'pure' and from a reliable dealer with only the best.
The appearance of the tabs were similar to that of ecstasy, which caused small alarm on swim's part, but swim was assured that was only because it was put in the tabs the same way, as it is similar to MDMA.
Swim felt safe, so he went with it.
The total duration of the trip was roughly about 18 hours.
The onset began an hour after consumption (1 tab), and the peak did not hit for about 2.5 hours.
At first it was like swim had smoked a lot of pot. But after a while, things began to get brighter, more noticable.
Slowly, swim began to get very euphoric, and thoughts began to flow easily. Everything at this point was extremely beautiful, and there was a massive urge to look and experience things, which swim did.
At the peak, the sky began to slowly rotate, and the overall trip was mildly visual, but very physical. There was a strange feeling of 'cold fire' around his hands and feet. Everything was overall extremely beautiful. Swim felt a strong bond with two of his compadres, and was talking constantly about overall life itself with both of them.
At this point, Swim took a second tablet to boost, and from this point, peaks hit in waves, much like blasts of a very trippy experience.
The group stayed up from 10 45 pm to about 11 00 am the next day (gorgeous sunrise), at which point naps were taken.
Overall, Swim has become increasingly worried that it may not have been mescaline at all, as he had hoped, and may be something he didn't want in his body.
As swim has never partaken in any other psychoactive other than cannabis or salvia, any help to the identification of this psychoative will be recieved with many thanks.

How big were the pills? Mescaline tablets would have to be very large (larger than an ecstasy tab) to contain a recreational dose. Presuming it is not mescaline I would speculate at it being a DOx compound.
Regardless, this is not a pill ID site. The only way to know for sure what SWIY ingested is lab analysis. Failing this reagent testing should give SWIY some idea what compound was ingested.

The pills were small. Like ecstasy tabs, which is why it concerned me. I researched and found that it is possible to put a sufficient amount of mescaline into tabs this size, but only with extreme amounts of effort and cost, leading me to more skepticism. And yes, I am aware that this not a pill identification site, but SWIM often believes that fellow psychonauts have an uncanny ability to identify the psychoactives they use.

Something similar came up recently. After further examination of the contents, the person was able to see that most of the pill was sugar, and that there was a smaller amount of something else. Leading to a conclusion that it was likely a DOx or similar. But as said - lab analysis is the only way to know.

Real mescaline NEVER is sold on the street. Only small circles of friend are likely to ever encounter such.

Swim has sold a drug with a question mark over it. Swim enjoyed his experience from what I have gathered. If swim suspects it was something else, I recommend he forget about it. ertain if swim had a bad experience I could understand his concern.
