combo of seroquel(quiteapine) and opiate??

while swim dosent like rap very much he does listen to the more drug oriented groups,cypress hill,three 6 mafia,spm,lil wyte.in one of the songs by lil wyte and three 6 mafia called oxycontin (a very good song btw) he is rapping about oxycontin and he says "some people melt them down in a needle and shoot it up,but i pop them with seroquel,like glue im stuck" http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/lilwyte/oxycotton.html but seroquel is a dopamine antagonist(blocker),but is extreemly sedating.does anyone know about this combo.swim is pretty sure that three 6 mafia knows what there talkin about,and with all the pill names they could have put in there instead,they chose seroquel.this makes him wonder.... any input??

He could be referring to the fact that he has bipolar disorder as well. Lyrics aren't meant literally all the time. He could be making the allusion to that disorder. That is not a combo that SWIM would want. Why do people want to sedate themselves while on OPIATES? I mean c'mon, opiates are plenty sedating. This whole North American philosophy of mostest, bestest , highest, craziest just anything -est shouldn't be applied to drugs. There is alot to learn in the middle ground as well.
As a rule of thumb, if 2 things happen to slow you down and one is an opiate, you will increase your risk for respiratory depression.

SWIM recently heard that song and looked up the lyrics and actually laughed at how ridiculous they were, take this line for example “See I'ma pill popper - so I'ma keep poppin' em Gimme 20 Xanax and I'ma start droppin' em” In SWIM’s opinion he just chose that drug at random. SWIM actually found it extremely weird that he mentioned seroquel at though, since it is not very well known for being abused.

SWIM doesn't post much about recreational drug use, but wanted to recommend anyone trying it keep the dose of Seroquel to 6.25mg at first (1/4 of a 25mg tablet). It is very powerful stuff. At that low a dose it may act as mild relaxant/euphoriant, but higher doses tend toward sedation and unpleasant side effects.

SWIM has no clue about the song lyrics, but recalls a trend in rap lyrics from the early 90s bragging about insanity, i.e. how crazy the rapper was. Maybe that's the case here in reference to Seroquel, which is an atypical antipsychotic.

swim used to be in a rehab a while back and got perscribed seroquil. he asked his room mate about them and his room mate told him they were abused and felt like percocet when snorted. swim now knows this to be quite a ridiculous claim but testifys that some believe them to have abuse potential.

Seroquil is actual great for killing pyschedelic trips though. If swims having a bad trip swim can easily get the visuals and head trip to go away instantly with a low dose of seroquil.

Swim was put in long-term rehab also, and Seroquel was probably the most sought after among the inpatients.

A doctor recently told swim that quetiapine has stopped being administered in prison due to its diversion and abuse. So, Seroquel's popularity in prisons may be a reason for its use in rap lyrics.

hmmm intersting..swim also thought that it could be a mix up because sereoquel is frequently sold off as generic soma.this has happened twice to swims friends when buying what they thought to be store brand soma.swim will try it though as he is prescribed seroquel but rarely takes it except for comedowns
