Any recreational potential in Meridia?

SWIM was not really sure where to post this, as Meridia is a script only weight loss pill, but it is also a CNS stimulant that is chemically similar to amphetamines. Anyway SWIM can get these for free if he wants, 15mg capsules. He has two of them now but was wondering if they produce any nice recreational effects? He is assuming it may be similar to adderall but much weaker. It does not seem like there is much info available on these, maybe because it is a newer drug, but does anyone have any experience? Also SWIM asks about this because he may have a drug test coming up and does not want to take adderall and was thinking of trying this stuff instead, but since it is similar to amphetamine it may show up in swim’s system as such, so its probably best that he does not try it yet.

Meridia is sibutramine HCL or what ever and yes i believe there is an abuse potential.

going back to the days of sixthseal.com, i remember PHB writing a post on Reductil (subutramine HCL). he said snorting these and they gave a rush. he also reported that he felt buzzed.

so yes, they do have an abuse potential, let it be similar to that of phentermine which can be abused despite the dirty stimulated feeling.

swim tried sibutramine and didn´t like it a all, like all SSRIs (except fluoxetine, but that made is dick not working for several months (!) after stopping it and he used it short term), -then again he liked Phentermine very much, but he heard on nederlandse boards, that his pills might have been pure dexamphetamine, but he doesn´t think so, it surely was Phentermine. BTW, is there a synthesis for it?

Well SWIM tried one 15mg pill yesderday. Nothing too special, he defiantly felt slightly stimulated about 30 mins after taking it, he found himself shooting the shit with his friend’s mother for a while, something he normally does not do. After a few hours SWIM sorta forgot he had taken anything, unlike adderall where SWIM knows he is flying though things. SWIM may try two next time, also swims friend took one orally then tried snorting one, since in the capsule there is just powder, and he said is gave him a decent buzz that lasted like 30 mins. This same friend used to get Phentermine, and swim agrees that it had much more recreational potential, he took two 37.5mgs once and was flying. One thing swim thinks could be good about these though is sometimes he just wants a subtle stimulant, one that will get him motivated but does not make him feel wired, jittery or have a comedown like adderall, and he thinks these fit the bill for that perfectly.

SWIM might have a chance at these,but is wondering wether they are worth pushing my writer for.The reason SWIM believes these are a c-4 is because they are a minor DRI.DRI's are good,cocaine hcl is a DRI,So is ritallin.Those are hard to get c-2's or meredia c-4.Swim can get a ton of buprorion which is a rx DRI.Maybe SWIM should Just increase Buprion.What does SWHIY think about this situation?

swims been taking phentermine off/on for 3 years. the 37.5 tabs. sometimes swim takes 2 37.5's but found that it just lasts longer cause part of it is time released. not familiar with the lingo around here but has ant of swims other "swimmers" had experience snorting the 37.5 tablet?

The fact that the activity is mostly adrenergic and serotonergic (little dopamine) makes SWIM think -- not fun. YMMV though.

i did reductil which are the same think ... one pill doesn't do anything ... we used to take about 10 or more 15 mg pills , some felt effects from 5 but as advice , take them on an empty stomach or else you'll just wast 'em. if you're an (meth)ampheatmine addict take 10 or more ...

about the abuse potential , if you can gen amfepramone (diethylpropion/diethylcathinone) diet pills go for those. sibutramine isn't as much fun and it can be quite dangerous for the abuser

I take sibutramine. If you take one pill orally, you don't get many effects for a few days of it, but those effects are pretty shit... insomnia, dry mouth, clenching teeth, irratibility etc. That's what I found anyway. Damn addicted to it now somehow

Anyway, snorting is the way to go if you want to play with them I believe. I wouldn't bother though.

I dont think theres much of an interesting high. i take 6x15mg each go. you get more stuff done, and just a moody comedown. i still do it though... which is pointless i know. it never occurred to me to snort. duh.

sister was prescribed it for weight... dog took 3 or 4 and nothing but some extra energy...
