Ambien (Zolpidem) trip?

Anyone ever actually trip after taking two or more Ambien?

I took 4 when i was coming down off of coke and I spent the better part of the evening staring at a pillow that was making faces at me.

my friend took about four once and she said it was ok but she didnt really remember much

apparently her friends driving her around said she was talking about seeing some amazing things, but she remembers the first few minutes and then woke up in her bed

i dont think its really worth doing because i heard its pretty much impossible to remember

Ambien (Zolpidem) Visual Side Effects?

I have been taking Ambien for about 3 weeks now. I read that one
of the side effects is blurred vision or double vision. However,
Im not sure if that is supposed to mean during the time or right after
you take the drug. 3 days ago I was having trouble reading the
words on my screen (I work infront of a PC) I started to panic.

Im 23 and there arent any eye problems in my family by the way. I
went to the eye doctor yesterday because Im having problems looking
into lights at night (driving home from work) or even looking at small
objects in the distance.

The eye doc said I need a very mild perscription and that my problem is
from "eye strain" from my computer screen. I havent taken Ambien
in 2 days now and Im wondering if this double vision could clear up
with time? This would be a big relief to me. Also my eyes
are VERY dry lately. Could extended ambien use be the result of
this?

Thanks for any advice or experiences you might have.

When i took zolpidem, i had the same problem.

Couldn't watch TV at all, saw everything twice.

So i guess, it's one of the few unplesant side effect.

LOL. I know exactly what you mean Thececil I felt the same way, I did alot of things one night after taking some ambien but couldn't remmember anything. I heard about the night from a friend. I remmember the beginning of the experience than I "thought" I jsut fell asleep or something, however I stayed up for another 4-5 hours. This only happened when I took like 40mg of ambien and a few pills of lorazapam. But also had similiar amnesia like symptons uppon random nights I do ambien. I think it is well worth it though, ery interesting drug. I also Never had the vision problem yet.

I had some hallucinations too, but it was in the beginning of my abuse.
Things where moving around, some colors too. The first time even had
some "mind go blanks" for an hour or two.

I've tried to mix it with some other drugs to get these effects, but no success so far . Tried boosting it with Diazepam (Stesolid),
Buprenorphine (Temgesic), Zopiclone (Imovane), Ephedrine and many types of alcohols.

Though sometimes i get some effect with Ibuprofen.

As neurojammer mentioned above</span></span> it's important that you do not eat for a couple of hours before taking it 'cause that would be a waste of good potential.

Although excersice in any form, in general, always should be avoided,
it can boost the effect if you take a fast walk for about 20 mins, and
immidiately after take your Ambien.

It is also quite mean in the nose if you snort it, and nothing special comes out of it.

Yah, Ambien. What can I say? I have done some majorly crazy things while on Ambien. It's always something new each time. The last time I took it though was the weirdest. I hate admitting this, but it's so ridiculous I have to say it. I shit my self on purpose. It seemed like the absolute right thing to do at the time. I just remember thinking, "I have to go, I should go right here, right now. It will be cool." I was successful and then had to waddle to the bathroom and shake my ass until the flat turd fell onto the toilet seat.

I woke up in morning and barely remembered what happened but knew what I did. I was freaking out! I haven't shit my pants since I was in diapers and I get no kick out of anyone else doing that either. Ambien is crazy.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Some people have withdrawl anxiety the morning after taking it so its nice to have .25 mg (a very small dose) of Klonopin around (which lasts 12 hours) to take after you wake up. However don't take it closer than 8 hours to when you took the Ambien.

No 'dumping' noted here.

I was given a script of Ambien with several refills for my insomnia due to anxiety related to a major depressive episode..and to make a short story short..I felt absolutely no effect from Ambien.

Longer version:

Of course I compounded doses a few times inan attemptto get some relief from my sleeplessness, but to no avail(my sleeping log was filled with entries throughout the nights of Ambien trials, so I know that I was indeed awake).

I didn't experience anything that could be construed as psychoactively notable. Notemporary amnesia, no unusual behavior, not even any sedating effect. It was as if I was on nothing at all. Heck, you'd think I'd at least get some placebo effect out of the stuff. Nada.

I'm sort of a hard head when it comes to sedatives.

Additional: I should note that the only other med I was on was sertraline(Zoloft). The usualside effect profile when starting a therapeutic regimen of an SSRIhad long since past...Although I am certainly not ruling out the possibility that Zoloft and Ambien had a less than cozy relationship in my particular situation. This may have lead to my lack of success with the compound.

T

On edit: Sorry to have been so ego-centric in my post. To answer the thread topic, no, I did not experience any visual effects. A quick search on Google shows that many have reported a similar experience to yours, twoThrees.Edited by: benzhead

when SWIM combines ambien with neurontin and a few nuggets, it seems
more like awake-dreaming than hallucinating. some visual tricks are
played on you in that dream-like state.

I've noticed that maybe some cross-tolerance has developed between
Ambien and Klonopin. I started taking Clonazepam about 2 months ago.
Not much, usually just 0.5mg daily for anxiety.
Then I concomitantly had to increase my Ambien dose in order to get the
same effect. Anyone had experience with this?
I no longer get the hallucinations, just semi-somnolence, and a somewhat
relaxed state of mind. Even the windows of lost time are gone.

I have a freind who claims to hallucinate off of ambien, when I tried it it just made me feel drunk and I ended up throwing up. How much do you have to take to have noticable hallucinations?

Zolpidem hallucinations, anybody??

LOL,I took 50 mg on empty stomach this morning.................it started to kick in very fast giving me a tremendous euphorical feeling...................the next thing I knew I talked to small, palm sized rabbits around my desktop, than with sinister aliens near the kitchen..............this is not my first time, I'm taking this stuff for 5-6 years, but I never had so clear-cut hallucinations, only a sense that hours pass like minutes.Usually, the effects areonly a warping of the space and picture flashes. This time,It came quick,it went out fast.................did anybody had a similar experience????<!--
