Can tests tell the diff between Valium & Ativan?
Swim has a current, legal and legit script for Ativan, he has currently been interviewing for new jobs and worries he may have to take a drug test. Although for his last job, even though he singed the papers they never did it, since he passed the background check. But anyway Swim also recently acquired some Valiums, which he would like to take. But the question is, if Swim takes the test and shows positive for benzos than that is fine because he can just show his script for the Ativan, but will it show up specifically as Valium on the test, or just Benzo? Swim’s understanding is the results would just say benzos, swim provides his valid script and then that’s it, however he has heard that if they want to, they can do further testing to find out exactly which benzo swim tested positive for in which case they could see Valium and Ativan. In what cases do they normally do this further analysis? Do you think that would be rare in swims case, esp since he has a script? Swim may just wait so he does not even have to think about it, but he thinks he would be fine either way.

Re: Please help SWIM clarify something...
Standard tests should not differentiate between flavours, & for a job a standard test should suffice. Any further tests would be done if there was a suspicion of abuse (e.g. parole, hospital bloods, disciplinary).
Btw, SWiY might want to check that post again for random "I"'s, & maybe shorten the thread title too (Edit > Go Advanced > Title) - the forum software won't allow a reply with that title as it is... |
