GBL dosage

SWIM was wondering what the amount of GBL would be for moderate users to have a good time? I know all to well that your should never mix with alcahole but if SWIM was to use it in a soft drink for example, how many ml would be good for a starter, and what would be a no go limit!

SWIM remembers reading about deaths caused by taking GBL but to keep people safe what would be the max someone would need to take to end up dead!

SWIM says thanks for any replys

Please use the search engine.
Never mix GBL with other CNS depressants such as alcohol, opiates or benzodiazapines.

Re: GBL (Fun to found dead)

I wouldn't ever go above about 3.5ml if I were to use such a substance. SWIM tells me even at 3.5ml he gets minor muscle spasms and starts to flirt with loss of consciousness. A good recreational dose is probably 2.5-3ml, depending on your body weight.

so it goes that anything over 3ml causes an OD(unrousable sleep) and that is my experience with it also

Re: GBL (Fun to found dead)

If its your first time on GBL i'd reccomend 2ml and then 1-1.5ml as and when you feel its needed.Don't worry about OD'ing on this amount it will not be fatal

Re: GBL (Fun to found dead)

SWIM thinks that such low dose of GBL could be used for suicide if one wanted to end their life. It appears to SWIM that its not that bad a way to go if someone chose to end their life. Can someone tell SWIM more.

Don't worry SWIM isn't thinking about it Swim is happily married and with a daughter so SWIM can't be doing or thinking like that, but SWIM does think that if someone was thinking about suicide then this could be used?

Re: GBL (Fun to found dead)

Not knowing about GBL, but on GHB no-one ever died on OD. Most letal cases where polydrug users and it stayed unclear on what actually killed the victim. Large dosis of GHB normally causes a deep, comatose, sleep. However, those with a breathing depletion disorder are in danger to suffocate during the GHB induced sleep. And there is a remarkable high percentage of persons that have this disorder!

This is interesing. Some say GBL will not kill you if you take large amounts and yet some say it does. Can anyone add to this?

Re: GBL (Fun to found dead)

swim has friends that used to use 1.75ml for the perfect time. Body weight will also effect dose requirements. Don't use more than 2ml until swiy can figure it out. There is a fine line between fun and falling down. This is why GBL/GHB got such a bad rap and banned.

For SWIM taking more than 1ml made him very nauseous until he had built up a tolerance so just take it slowly.

Re: GBL dosage

SWIM says thanks for the truthful doses. SWIM and others need to know real doses that will be ok. What SWIM would like to know is any limits that people are aware of like a no go dose. I hear people saying that they take 2ml and everything is fine and AuraithX says 2ml was his limit.

What SWIM would like to know is any does that would be fatal. I think SWIM knows the importance of knowing the limits for drugs. SWIM would be very thankful for some more info and personal experiences and from others in the media they are aware of.

Re: GBL dosage

^ Start out at 1.4ml max. 2ml at 99.98% purity will most likely give you really bad nausea and knock you unconcious for several hours. Death is highly unlikely here but it is still unadvisable.

My mate had about 20ml (was very drug and took a swig from the bottle) he passed out within a few minutes and had to be transported to the hospital as he was vomiting in his sleep.

start out low and increase slow

(1.5ml + 1ml at 45 min intervals works for SWIM's monkey)

Re: GBL dosage

^^^^ Ok kids, listen up. Jim here is right, stop with all the hero dosing advice. 1-1.5ml as a starting dose with 1ml increments after at least 60 mins is the safest method to avoid od.

Trouble is with GBL is that it is very long lasting as the body does all the conversion itself.

This means that if a large dose is taken it will take quite some time before it has *all* been converted into GHB. Often the user believes that it is "about time for another dose", knocks one back and, unfortunately, lets it all get away from them. They might pass out but either way they are going to continue to get more and more intoxicated whether they like it or not.

Dosing with GHB can be tricky enough but, believe me, the margin for error with GBL dosing is very small.

As AuraithX said (hopefully he was talking about someone other than himself when he said 'I'), 2ml on its own *can* knock you down so please leave the bragging about how much you can consume for other, less dose critical, substances.

Dosing is dependant on the individual's body size, metabolism, and whether they have recently eaten a meal. Jumping in feet first with 2ml+ dosing is reckless at best.

As always, *never* consume either GHB or GBL with alcohol.

Don't forget, neither GHB nor GBL are toxic except at ridiculously high levels (UTFSE SBD Report on Xyrem for facts), *but* the issue of OD is more about losing control of ones faculties to the point of being a danger to oneself or others, or passing out and asphyxiating oneself (choking on vomit, extremely depressed breathing etc.)

OD can be easily avoided as long is these substances aren't treated like rec room toys.

Re: GBL dosage

Mr G that post was great! Cheers for the info SWIM agrees people have to put truthful answers as to what is a good starting dose, cause if SWIM had started with 2ml it could have been bad.

Anyone know of any cases where a dose has caused death by GBL? SWIM read before about someone taking 20ml and need to be taken to hospital. SWIM thinks if he didnt have someone to take him to A & E, what could have been the outcome?

^ He had also been drinking heavily, like 15 beers or so.

If he hadn't be taken to the hospital he would've been fine I think. They just monitored him all night and put him into the correct positions when he had to vomit. The only reason we called A & E is because the vomit was coming up through his nose and it sounded like he was having real problems breathing.

you did the right thing though AuraithX...SWIM introduced his mate to the wonders of GBL...both SWIM's are from WoScotland too - where everything revolves around drinking, but SWIM's mate is a right "bevvy merchant", on the pints/El_D combo etc. - SWIM has to keep reminding him not to drink+GBL - SWIM worries quite a bit as SWIM introduced the stuff to him, but SWIM has done everything SWIM can (phew its hard to write in SWIM tense!).
