US, CHEAR: Petition to Repeal Federal Law Denying Education

People are being denied financial aid for higher education due to past drug offenses. This creates unnecissary double punishment for criminal actions and is counter productive to helping citizens progress from being "dope fiends" to being "productive" members of society--obviously accomplishing nothing other than further discriminating against people who have made past choices that society does not agree with. Help in stopping this sort of thing will be appreciated by the next 200,000 potential students that may have a chance of not being denied access to their futures, as well as anyone with sense and an aversion to social inequality.
