Re: Desoxypipradrol

Hello fellow travelers, old and new. I see it has been a highly embarrassing length of time since my last login here (18 months?!), and I recognize so few of your handles that I feel like quite the old fogey. But I do have some thoughts on desoxypipradol, and it's -5 F outside this weekend so I have not much else to do.

SUMMARY: this (desoxypipradrol) is almost the ideal functional stimulant. No body load, no cravings, no psychotic ideation, just straight up keeps you awake and in the mood to Do Shit. "Almost" ideal, because even at barely effective doses, at least for SWIM, it lasts too long not to disrupt the following day(s) rest. Too long meaning 24-36 hours. (Caveat: SWIM has yet to try insufflation, which presumably shortens duration).

Another possible downside, which needs further research by SWIM, is that although energy and activity are increased, attention and focus may be decreased. SWIM found his thoughts racing 100mph through quite interesting terrain for hours on end, but unable to hold one task in mind for more than 1-2 minutes. However, this could well have been a result of slowly accruing sleep deficit.

FULL REPORT:

SWIM used this material to help "speed" his re-entry to the 12 hour work days typical of this time of year, after a long relaxing holiday break. SWIM had recently detoxed his body's temple thoroughly with a six-day juice fast, so monkey was a clean slate.

10mg were initially taken orally before work on a Monday. SWIM realizes this was too much. He is sometimes reckless with first doses. Do not dose as he does.

Results of Day 1 were an almost scarily productive day at the office, considering re-entry after a three week holiday always sucks pubes. SWIM returned home and still felt raring to go. Started cleaning his apartment, top to bottom, no corner un-scrubbed, etc. Next thing he knew, oops, 9:00am the next morning and completely forgot about sleep. Yikes! Better redose or he'd fall asleep mid-day, right? So another 10mg down the hatch. This was his key mistake, he says; should have just ridden out the day and let it go. But what if... he thought... he could just keep going a little longer.... Not in a recreational sense, but in a suddenly manic/workaholic one.

And so on, for a few days (titrating down to 3-5mg doses every other sleepless morning). At the end of the week, SWIM reports feeling very, very strange. More sleep-deprivation psychosis than anything -- he had been unable to fully fall asleep for even a minute for EIGHT DAYS.

As a periodic insomniac, "not sleeping for a week" is not unsusual and typically means "lying in bed but can't fall asleep". In this case, SWIM never had even the slightest Desire for bed, despite steadily deteriorating mental function, forgetting really obvious things, unable to concentrate or feel fully present. Appetite also about 50-70% suppressed. Oh, and he just reminded me that for the last 2-3 days he started getting constant colorless OEVs, like heat waves shimmering in the air. Sleep dep hallucination: KEWL.

This all became scary (and at the same time kind of cool, he has to admit). Plus, manic repetitive OCD-like physical activity, e.g. house cleaning for 12 straight hours, led to severe acute carpal tunnel and 2-3 compressed vertebrae, i.e. numbness in specific hands and joints. Happily, two weeks of intensive rest gradually cleared up all the above symptoms.

All in all, a harrowing experience, from what SWIM tells me. I agree with the experienced poster above that this is a substance even seasoned researchers should watch out for. It doesn't "feel" strong, but it can really fuck up your circadian rhythm. OTOH, there does seem to be Something there, maybe just at way low dosage.

VB

Re: Desoxypipradrol

Quote:
its absence of dopamine effects seems to be confirmed anecdotally [no euphoria or speedy behaviour]
It's not as simple as this. Note that amphetamine's release of monoamines is something like 5:1 noradrenaline:dopamine. And L-DOPA and dopamine agonists are not generally euphoric, focusing, or speedy -- often the opposite. Noradrenaline may well be more important in many ways for the effects you describe. More likely they arise out of a combination. There are many systems in interaction here, and the part of the center which is stimulated is important as well.

The low peripheral sides and calmness (ability to pull back, anecdotally it seems little feeling of "locked-in" focus at the lower doses, a feeling which I despise) as well as the duration of these lower doses make this very attractive to me.

I'd be curious if anyone knows desoxy's affinity for serotonergic neurons in vitro.

Re: Desoxypipradrol

I don't know if that quote about desoxyP was from me, but I was just shooting my mouth off without a clue really on the topic, and someone actually pointed out that there's a good chance dopamine's involved.
And I certainly do recant on my stupidity, my idea of dopamine=purely good and "noradrenaline=just useless edgy anxiety without euphoria" is just simplistic and forgets the fact that in natural endocrinology dopamine increases almost always go with raised adrenaline and noradrenaline, so now I would lean towards believing in a synergy rather than just this black and white concept of good and bad neurotransmitters.

Not that I know ANYTHING about DP in the first place.

Re: Desoxypipradrol

here's a small secret aka the fine print. desoxy and MDPV are now classed as ANTI-DRUGS amongs more than a few labrats.

word to the wise.

P.S. ~40mg DOC was accidentally insufflated, a stoopid error which should have left SWIM dead, so supah stoopid that....DOC was never sampled before by SWIM, and certainly would have never been snorted, but humans are known for making errors. 3mg of this material has rats gone for 30 hours. nor did he have psych tolerance as far as 5ht-2a or 5ht2c is concerned...SWIM prayed, asked for forgiveness from friends, made peace w/god, left for his tent and got ready to die....nothing happened. the ~100mg desoxy p/d consumed for about a week prior to the event may have played a factor - that or SWIm has passed on through the space and it has nothng left to offer. others noted that desoxy's militant spirit prevents 3-letter classic psychs from working proper.

kids, rmember, even idiots make mistakes.

Re: Desoxypipradrol

SWIM tried desoxy three times by now. First time was 5mg insufflated. Didn't do anything noticable, went to bed 2 hours later and slept without any problems, as usual for SWIM, but unusual after using desoxy.

On another day, SWIN insufflated 8mg. Didn't notice anything except anticipation. Went to bed approx 4h later and turned off all lights. Looking through the window at clouds in the dark sky he noticed some weird and transparent patterns in his vision. SWIM said, it looked like the patterns of light from a moving water surface reflected to a wall. Not bright, just some moving pattern imprinted on the things to be seen. Turned on the lights. Patterns gone. Turned them off. Patterns there. Fell asleep while thinking about the patterns.

On another other day, SWIM tried 11mg. Basically like the 2nd experience, nothing but the patterns approx. 4-5 hours after insufflation when turning the lights off. Could sleep very well, had very realistic dreams and woke up refreshed 5 hours later with a basically complete poem in his head which he wrote down.

There was no comedown, but some slight twitching here and there which lasted the expected time desoxy should be working, e.g. up to 20h after dosing.

SWIM is quite confused because his desoxy either isn't desoxy (which he doubts) or for him it doesn't work even close to what some SWIYs said. But there was nothing enjoyable or remarkable about SWIMs experience, so he's not interested in trying it again anytime soon.

Re: Desoxypipradrol

that seems very strange^^swim has tried at doses as small as 2mg and been kept awake for hours on this substance.swim feels a good dose for swim and swims friends have concurred is between 4-10mg.
swim has a huge tolerance for most stimulants but this product is alot different and swim thinks even with a strong tiolerance to most stimulants this product will still keep swiy up for hours and hours.
this product is almost so clean that swiy wont even notice its there until swiy tries to sleep.

SWIM told me that GBL and Mephedrone worked around the same time frame desoxy did not. Maybe his desoxy is no desoxy after all...

Re: Desoxypipradrol

The other substances were used after SWIM tried desoxy, so they couldn't have interfered. SWIMs desoxy is soluble in water, quite easily actually... but SWIM can't run any other tests.

Re: Desoxypipradrol

The subject was unwittingly injured during its experience and its nervous system was damaged, that could have triggered most of the mentioned side effects

SWIM posed following information in another thread but finds it would fit in here and probably warns a few users not to underestimate this substance (and unwillingly taking overdoses). The following describes the aftermath of SWIM's 2-DPMP consumption. In fact it should not have been an overdose but either the amount was laced with something toxic or SWIM is just very sensitive to this substance.

Summarized the symptoms are :

physiological :

- recurring stitching in hands and wrists
- stiff and touch-sensitive throat
- sensations inside the skull (no pain, not even unpleasent but unsettling)
- tight chest
- dry eyes
- very few stamina in physical activities -> hypertension, tachyardia
- when drugs are consumed (despite alcohol and probably downers) -> intense tremor in right pectoral muscle and upper arm, intense hypertension

psychological :

- generel increased anxiety
- lack of emotions
- when drugs are consumed (despite alcohol and probably downers) -> very high danger to get a panic attack

Panic Trip 1:

Substances : Alcohol, Indo-Kratom, Cannabis, (2-DPMP many hours before)
Gender/Size/Weight : male/5'9/160lbs
Experiences : occasional drug usage
Dosage : 3 Beers, 10g Kratom, one hit cannabis (with Damiana)
Duration of panic : 10 hours (!!!)

-40:00 : 2 mg 2-DPMP
-17:00 : 0.5 mg 2-DPMP
00:00 : it is 5:30 p.m. 5g Kratom are ingested on empty stomach
01:00 : tenseness is present, which is ignored while having dinner with family, 2 beers are consumed
07:00 : SWIM wants to write lyrics, 5g Kratom is ingested on nearly empty stomach, 1 beer is consumed
08:00 : 1 hit Cannabis is smoked with Damiana
08:30 : SWIM is suprised about the intense high, he also has a few hallucinations, little lightnings are crossing the air (this is common when SWIM uses the Kratom/MJ-combo), in the mirror it seems that his body is surrounded by an aura.
09:00 : Hypertension sets in, SWIM did not have that since he smoked too much weed in middle school
09:30 : Hypertension and normal health states occur alternately, SWIM thinks, that should be over in a few minutes and he can begin to write his lyrics ...
10:00 : FAIL! The hypertension-states remain and his right pectoral muscle and right overarm are cramping horribly. Also his throat is getting stiff (caused by too high blood pressure) and his head feels bubbled up (no real headache present). Nevertheless the fear of dying is present.
15:00 : no changes ... SWIM walks around in his parents house and finds some AT1-Antagonist in a cubboard. He takes 80mg and hopes it beats the hypertension.
17:00 : no changes
18:00 : blood pressure decreases finally. Cramps remain
30:00 : cramps remain ... SWIM feels exhausted, can sleep finally

SWIM first assumed that his pipe was dirty but he smoked through it many times (he does not smoke daily, rather weekly) when it was even dirtier without side effects. Maybe remains of other substances were in the pipe-abysm, you cant see through it, it is a black non-water-pipe.

Panic Trip 2 :

No psychoactive substances were ingested for 48 hours.

0:00 : 5g Kratom are ingested.
0:30 : Anxiety appears, SWIM gets very weak and thinks : "WTF is wrong with me!!!!?" His throat is getting tight, his voice is suppressed.
1:00 : SWIM goes outside. While walking his BP enhances. He cant stop to touch his heart. His eyes are getting dry.
3:00 : SWIM drinks 2 Beers and feels much better.

SWIM still hopes that everything is caused by generell anxiety-issues and not by permanent damage due to 2-DPMP-consume. He was also at the doctor and got an appointment for 24-hours-BP-testing (you walk around with that device all day). He also consumed 3g Kratom today and did not panic but also could not appreciate the Kratom ...

EDIT : SWIM was diagnosed and found out, that he was injured already during those mentioned experiences. Most of the side effects could be associated with the injury (pretty serious). He did not realize it sober, because the symptoms were very subtle.

Re: Desoxypipradrol

Hey @all, I did not want to create a new thread for that question : Does any1WIY know whether 2-DPMP is known to loose it's potency when soluted in Vodka ? Any1WIM wonders whether their physical condition changed or the solution got weaker over the course of 3 months. Any1WIY with experience ?
