Effects - How high does LSD make you?

Swims been around his parents, pastors, former elementary school teachers, cops and at family reunions on high doses of shrooms, lsd, mdma and 2c-i and it has never been a problem (wear sunglasses, because your pupils will be massive). A lot of it depends on how cool you are under the influence, swim has the tendancy to be very calm on psychedelics (unlike weed which makes him more paranoid) and can easily keep his cool even in stressful situations. The majority of people would be made very uncomfortable though. In swims opinion psychedelics wont impair you like alcohol, but they will change your mood. The potential for bad results doesnt come from the drug itself, but rather freaking out from the fear that everyone knows youre on drugs. If swiy doesnt know how psychedelics effect them, this sounds like a bad idea.

Now that´s what I call cool.

When swim is on LSD the first wave usually blows him away like a red dawn the Bikini-Atoll, the next hours he´ll be watching the elves, monsters and kalaidoskopes forming in the pattern of the carpets, clothes, walls etc.. and then some benign visions and colour experiences will determine the end of his trip, and in no case would he dare thinking to get by unnotice within the first wave, but maybe you´re right, as long as you stay cool and wear glasses and the surrounding has no clue on what´s going on and doesnßt know about LSD, no-one will probalby realize you´re on LSD, although swim thinsk the frist wave might be the kicker, to let him stay in a save enviroment.

actually.. as swim leaves the blotter for 30 minutes under his tongue and sometimes effects can be noticed before even swallowing it...this means, it's no difference for swim how much filled his stomach is...most of Alice seems to pass through the thick vein under the tongue into his brain (at least, that's how it was explained to swim, please correct him if he's telling the untruth...)

An empty stomach is the best idea as LSD is well known to cause a feeling of tightness in the stomach - which old heads from the Haight-Ashbury called the KIS - kick in stomach. Generally a light meal a few hours beforehand is okay. If one were to plan to take it in the morning, a glass of juice would suffice. One most likely won't be feeling hungry during the excursion.

hungry not, but swim knows of his own experience that he can use up to 4-5 liters of water etc. on a trip.

Yes, consuming water is important. It always is, but while on LSD, one might a) need more water than usual 'cause of the extra energy the brain is using up and b) one simply can forget to drink while examining her/himself in the fourth dimension.

Water IS good. But everything in moderation.

Too much water (which will depend on ambient temperature and level of activity) can result in hyponatraemia, which can be deadly.

Certainly when partaking of psychoactive substances one should not drink large amounts of water quickly: That is what killed Leah Betts.

yes, but in swim's case, swim is a tall person and was a weightlifter for several years, so he has a more heavy physique.... and drinks by himself at least 6 liters of water a day...more if he has a training session in the studio that day.

also swim also sweats alot while tripping and his mouth gets dry pretty fast...so actually swim needs that much water!

Shitloads. Betts overshot the hyped instructions of the time to consume tons of water when doing E. Not good.

It's ok to drink a glass of water in an hour or similar. That's not even moderately a large amount.

Well I appreciate the response. The baseline figure of one glass an hour sure does seem safe. it's also the rate at which the body will process a serving of alcohol.

I am also wondering if a shitload could be further quantified? I like details and a glass as a baseline is safe but maybe just too conservative. In the US, a glass is officially defined as 8oz/.23L by the USDA (the gov nute guys).

I realize it's gonna deviate according to SWIM's size, metabolism, room temperature and activity level.

Indeed. The "glass of water per hour" was just an intuitive, reasonable guess on my behalf. I just thought of something that cannot possibly be unsafe, and at the same time maintaining your body's need for h2O.

Somebody might possess more professional and profound info.
