Re: coming off ritalin without cravings
SWISven suggests diphenhydramine, dimenhydrinate, benzos, MJ, or maybe a mild opiate like hydrocodone. Personally, SWISven chews up 1mg alprazolam (xanax) and that puts him out just fine.

Re: coming off ritalin without cravings
Yeah, I feel you on that. After all of his usage, SWISven usually eats some sort of food while on stimulants, like a few powerbars or something with protein. That way, when SWISven crashes, he doesn't tear up the house looking for food at 2AM.

Re: coming off ritalin without cravings
swiy could try poping a concerta in the morning, they are methylphenidate extra extra slow release and as long as swiy dont chew them they are less abuseable than any prescription stimulant, except provigil, which brings me to my next idea.provigil(modafinil)is a stimulant in some ways but no real euphoria.swim was prsescribed 200mg a day and took 4 days worth and didnt find it recreational but it had deffinate appitite curbing effects but it was still better than caffine.sorry if this is a vague description but swiy have to try provigil to kno wat im talkin about, its a whole new class of drug. its more of a no need to sleep feeling than i cant sleep buzz.hmm.. swim would say mj for a comedown but you want to curb your appetite how bout a few min spent at rotten.com?

SWIM's problem is appetite increase and using only Ritalin but most Ephedrine, Caffeine only.
SWIM needs something to come down withouth increasing his appetite,he is an Athlete.

Re: coming off ritalin without cravings
train more your appetite will diminish, when you do just a little "tto much" and drink lots of water...
damn swim misses the somach set-up and cramps and the robot feeling of his methylphenidate so much, he really needs it so badly.^^

Re: coming off ritalin without cravings
when swiy says athlete does he mean he gets drug tested or he dosent want to harm his lungs/body?if it can be located seroquel,is very useful.it is technically a dopamine release inhibitor, but it really brings ya back to base line, too high or too depressed.extreemly sedating, 100mg is almost impossible to stay awake on,swiy should start with 50mg.it has been proven to make the body release more testosterone during sleep(not that big of a diff but it couldnt hurt an athlete)other than that benzos are good but drug tests could be a problem there...next best would be ambien but its way too fun to waste for sleep unless prescribed..see a doc and tell him swiy are having trouble sleeping,"i just worry about stuff too much and i cant fall asleep".tell him that swiy want something that you wont get addicted to.

Re: coming off ritalin without cravings
SWIM will second the notion of seroquel
seroquel indeed will help with the sleep as well as curb the apetite maybe not the apetite in full but it will help although SWIM doesnt find 100mg "almost impossible to stay awake on" but SWIM also have exp with beating nods an general barbs and all in all seems to have a higher tolerence to most drugs in general mg so SWIM would agree with the 50mg and if it doesnt work try going to 100mg or 150mg wich would be half of a 300 wich is common to find of course SWIM is thus assuming SMIY will not be getting a perscription |

Thanks guys.I don't have problem with drug tests (doping test) but obviously with the disturbtion on weight loss effort i am doing ,from the appetite increase after coming off the ritalin.
I do not have access to seroquel but benzos such as bromazepam, rophinol, xanax, zopiclone.Zopiclone and xanax doesn't do many for sleep.Xanax seems to give me appetite increase.Maybe a serotoningenic like buspar, zoloft?to balance the dopamine/serotonin ratio? But i have to care not make me unable to sleep and increase appetite. ![]() what would you recommend either from benzos or the serotonin class medications?

Re: coming off ritalin without cravings
benzos are very effective. and swim will also once again say that seroquel swill put swiy to sleep but seroquel causes munchies alot. anyway, if swiy can control the urge to eat while on seroquel....shit, lol seroquel could probably put an elephant to sleep.
annnnd one more thing about seroquel for sleeping if swiy ever gets ahold of it. seroquel may mess with swiys athletics because its an antipsychotic, putting swiy in a trace like state through the day(to some extent pending on dosage) |

Re: coming off ritalin without cravings
while they dont usually suppress the apitite, unless its a side effect for swiy,it wont do much to combat the ritalin and you will probably still be hungry and sience swim will be f-ed up you might not be able to resist the temptation to chow down.this goes especially for ambien, it gives people the major muncies
