Hello to all here at D-F! Mick Mouse here with a new project the I hope will provide some enjoyment, enlightenment and information for those who might be wondering just exactly what prison is like.
That's right, this post is coming to you from the Arizona State Prison Complex at Douglas, Arizona! My goal is three-fold. To provide knowledge of prison life to those who may be facing the same situation I am currently in, to provide insight into the mind of an individual undergoing incarceration and the myriad of complexities it brings to the physical, mental and emotional health and wellbeing of a "normal"person, and to report on the availability, quality and price of substances here "inside the walls."
I will be using the first-person "I" throughout this project, as I don't think self-incriminationis a factor, given the circumstances! "I", of course, will refer to Mick Mouse and his good friend SWIM, so I hope that is understood by all.
First and most importantly, a huge thank you to ALFA for allowing this, as well as all of those who supported and approved of this project! Secondly, but just as important, this is, almost out of necessity, a one-way project, while I will attempt to answer individual members specific questions, remember that there are alot more of you than there is of me, and methods of communication are round-about at best! I will do my best, but I am operating under severe constraints. Thirdly, for those of you who may be wondering if this will affect the security and safety of this site, I have ran this by my attorneys, who have told ,me that as long as I do not discuss the security measures in place for this complex, it is perfectly legal and above board. This is just friends writing to friends!
I expect to be here for 48 months and my intention is to post once a month, if possible. This first (and possibly second!)post is just a "shake-down"post, to see if this project will actually work. If not, I bow out gracefully and see you all again in 4 years! I have high hopes, though!

All questions/comments/ideas sent to this mail drop will eventually make their way to me. The very kind individual who is doing the recieving of these posts, typing them, and allowing me to use their time, patience, and internet connection can not and will not answer or reply to any posts. This is done to protect their identy!

Finally, to those members and guests who have any connection with L E, this project is all about prevention and harm-reduction. Nothing Else!
If the content of these posts can keep one person out of prison, we all win! I will not promote any agenda other than harm-reduction and I will not "glorify" prison life. This experience sucks, plain and simple!
Assuming this project is still accepted, the next installment will cover sentencing, county jail, and processing into the prison system, as well as my mental and emotional reactions through-out the process. it's not for the faint-at-heart!
Until then, what doesn't destroy me only makes me stronger!
If administration or moderators wish to preview these posts prior to putting them on the forum, I am open to suggestions as to how we could make that work. A blind mail drop springs to mind but this would be more work for them. I will pay postage to anywhere in the world, just give me the address.
