Re: hydrocodon + nasuea.
Small dosage of gravol (quite small) can help. Does your potentiator (tums) not help?

Re: hydrocodon + nasuea.
Next time, please use the forum search engine, because this question has already been answered. A good puff or two of marijuana will help the nausea and not interfere CNS wise. Laying down and drinking water helps taking away nausea too. If one wants a drug to take nausea away there are many OTC and prescription (depending on where SWIY lives) antiemetics/antihistamines such as: Promethazine, meclizine, dipenhydrate (sp?), hydroxyzine, diphenhydramine, etc... But SWIdr does not recomend these drugs since they can also depress SWIY's CNS, which can be dangerous!!

Re: hydrocodon + nasuea.
wim is sure this varies with individuals, but swim has found that CWE decreases the nausea that accompanies hydrocodone and PAP.
Interestingly, the CEW systems that are included in the archives of this forum are somewhat complex. Dissolving the tablets in hot water, cooling them until the PAP settles to the bottom and then filtering it through a close knit screen works well to remove most of the liver damaging substance. |

Re: hydrocodon + nasuea.
swim has to take opiates for pain and has a sensitive stomach. she keeps a prescription anti-emetic around for this purpose if she feels strong nausea. one she's used is called metpiramid in europe. swiy can also go fot OTC (like dramamine) but if nausea is severe, it may not be enough plus eve n the non-drowsy versions are sedating (not in a good way)

Re: hydrocodon + nasuea.
yes, 5/500 means 5mg hydrocodone + 500mg acetomenophen...
Lots of doctors prescribe a medication to help with nausea, i believe it is promethazine (Phenergan). (DrMuffy mentioned this briefly, but just wanted to add that anyone I know that has ever been prescribed vicoden and complained of nausea got this as well) But I believe phenergen itself is used as a sedative/sleep aid. It has a "may cause drowsiness" label on the script bottle most of the time. |

Eating a piece of bread (no butter) and some milk/water helps me out.
Hope that helps some....
