Going cross-eyed on MDMA/ecstasy.

SWIM has found that when taking MDMA/ecstasy, one of their eyes sometimes becomes crossed - looks in at their nose. When they cover their good eye, the crossed eye returns to the center and vision is as normal.

SWIM had an operation on their eye when a young child in order to correct a slight lazy eye - which is clearly why this occurs. Their eye goes back to normal the next day after having gone to sleep.

My question is could this person end up with a permently crossed eye? I.E could their brain 'forget' to make the eye start working again or stop being lazy?

Re: Going cross-eyed on MDMA/ecstasy.

Swim hasnt experienced cross eyes before though blured vision is very common. Not good when telling your mates he can get some pills off via sms and you relize the next day the message went straight to your mum.

Eye-wiggling is normal with high doses of MD(M)A.

SWIY shouldnt worry, SWIM and his friends have experienced lazy eye quite often while rolling -- haha, SWIM's friend likes to point out that his eye is wiggling!

Re: Going cross-eyed on MDMA/ecstasy.

Nystagmus (eye wiggles, eye-romp) is common to the 'M' family of entactogens. This can be more pronounced with people prone to monocular vision (includes "lazy-eye"). There have been no reported instances of this causing any permanent problems.

Re: Going cross-eyed on MDMA/ecstasy.

SWIM too has a lazy eye. MDMA at higher doses definitely brings this out - he gets double vision with one of the two "views" leaning over diagonally several degrees. This occurs later in the experience, well after nystamus has stopped. On occasion, this has persisted into the next day, but not disturbingly so.

Swims eyes also roll while high, not when swim is up and about but if swim was to chill out for a bit.

Re: Going cross-eyed on MDMA/ecstasy.

At what doses do SWIY experience this sideeffect? SWIM has experienced going cross-eyed on MDMA but only times when he has taken waaaay too much.
