Black Tar Storage ?

OK, SWIM was wondering why when they get tar, sometimes its hard and sticky, almost crystalized looking but after its out of the bag it almost looks as if its melting ? They wanted to know if why this happens and if there was a proper way to store Tar ?

swip doesn't use tar much, only about once every other month or so. oxycodone is his opiate of choice.

swip stores his tar, for weeks at a time, wrapped up in a latex plastic (usually what it comes in) and in the door of the fridge.

My friend has it wrapped in wax paper in a small tupperware. Sometimes it ends up in the fridge, the rest of the time it follows him around the house. The most recent batch seems to NOT have that melting effect. I wonder if it has something to do with its purity ?

freezer man. it's also a pretty good hiding spot.
