Local anaesthetic for the nose for painful insufflations-
Mods, please if this is not the appropiate forum for this question to be asked, move it where you think it might. SWIM was wondering what could one use to numb the nose to avoid the excrutiating pain associated with insufflating some chemicals, especially RC's such as 2C-B; MDMA, and DMT. In the former and latter cases it would be a very valuable tool so the trip might actually become enjoyable and not detracting. What anaesthetic, in the style of lidocaine or benzocaine would be good for about 30 mins and how would one were to take it?
Also, any suggestions for post-insufflation sinus problems and nasal congestion? |

Re: Local anaesthetic for the nose for painful insufflations-
really, thinly crushed ( use a metal tea strainer) lidocaine HCl powder would work great for this, just mix a little amount with the substance to be insufflated. The problem being that lidocaine is one of the most common cutting agents of cocaine, and thus watched. Swim has heard of ths being done with bunk heavily anesthetic "cocaine", which was used as a numbing agent for methylone insufflation, worked wonders.
for sinus issues, use the search engine, and swiyour best non commercial bet would be making a nose spray by diluting a little baking soda and a little salt in distilled water / physiological serum. and wash sinuses 20 minutes after insufflating, and before bedtime as the horizontal position helps congestion somewhat. b |

I would have thought that a line of charlie beforehand would do the job.
I would advise against insufflating RC's like 2-CB in future, it's not good for you. |

Re: Local anaesthetic for the nose for painful insufflations-
SWIM hasn't and probably never will, but other things stand interest and don't pose significant risk through insufflation. Coke would be good enough if not for the fact that it would interfere with the effects of the other compound, and sometimes it would then become risky to mix something up the nose with a powerful stimulant. There also is the problem of purity.
Benga: How would one get Lidocaine HCl powder? I've read some products containing Lidocaine should not be put in contact with membranes and such... Also, would a gel be any good? That way one wouldn't have to overwork the nose. The problem is that all anaesthetic gels SWIM knows last less than 15 minutes. |

Re: Local anaesthetic for the nose for painful insufflations-
unfortunately gels wouldn't be a good idea as it would probably block most of the absorption by the nose's mucous membranes.
and mixing cocaine and RC's doesn't seem that great of an idea, at least not if this is not the intention. One could perhaps dissolve a very minimal quantity of cocaine in a nose spray with distilled water and use that as a topical anesthetic, but due to the cuts present in street cocaine this isn't ideal... as for lidocaine sources, sorry but such discussions are restricted to the source forum, and as mentioned, this item is watched for its tight relations with the cocaine trade... b |
