Combinations - Is it safe to mix LSD and other drugs?

okay, swim has never tried lsd. A friend of his is goin to get some and bring it over this weekend. Swim always has weed and hydro's (blue 10's), swim was just wondering whether or not it was safe to mix these with the acid.

and if it is safe then what order should we do them in? thx for takin the time to answer my newbie question.

Smoking cannabis with LSD is fine. There are no dangerous physical reactions although some claim that cannabis does make the experience more intense psychologically. SWIM finds that it mellows out the experience somewhat however. In regards to hydrocodone, LSD is not going to cause an adverse physical reaction when combined with it the same way amphetamines or alcohol would but it may alter the experience somewhat in that SWIY may find themselves nodding off. SWIY should probably drop the LSD first, have a few smokes if he wants to while tripping, and maybe take the hydros towards the end of the night in order to get to sleep easily.

LSD is a very powerfull psychological tool, so all claims on psychological safety are relative to the way of use. While smoking cannabis in combination with LSD is a positive experience for many, it cannabis adds a lot of confusion to the trip for others. This is not always wanted when warping trough the universe at mach 7.
The phenomenon of adding downers to a LSD trip has always puzzled me. LSD intensifies experience. Why would one want to numb it, unless one doesn't like the effect of LSD? The suggestion of Nature Boy to use downers to invoke sleep at the end of the trip seems the only application that has any sense.

another opinion here. SWIM doesn't feel really anything different if smoking weed while tripping. SWIM likes to do at least two blotters, it's intense enough and seems to overlock cannabis. different for everyone

As an aside, Bongo once had a migraine headache pay a visit while on some good LSD (and boy did he have fun tracking the psychodynamics of a migraine while 8 miles high!). He was offered a 100mg demerol by a friend. Bongo accepted the offering. It worked as it should under normal (Ha!) circumstances.

So it appears that LSD does not detract from the analgesic effects of narcotics.

SWIM's pretty surprised SWIY got migraine while under LSD influence - LSD is a very effective migraine treatment. SWIM hasnt got a single attack since he started LSD.

LSD was used as a clinical treatment for migraine, albeit for a short period of time, before bad publicity over its recreational side effects brought about its removal. It was, however, an extremely effective treatment, far more so then either methysergide or ergotamine. Unlike its siblings, LSD was able to function at very small (sub-hallucinogenic) doses. A single dose was also sufficient to provide long term relief, often counted in months.

But SWIM would suggest trying the LSD on it's own first and if SWIY plans to have more LSD trips then try some other combinations

SWIM has experienced that cannabis can really intensify certain phases of a trip. Certain persons suffer from slight paranoia under the influence of cannabis; for them SWIM says he would not recommend combining LSD with cannabis. Both are intensifiers, and for some, the combined intensity can be overwhelming.

SWIM has combined various substances and to this day enjoys an occasional cannabis smoke while on LSD, but ultimately, he says he most often enjoys his drugs as they are, without combining.

what are swiys take on mixing adderall and a hit of cid, swim took 20mg around 10am and is planning on taking a hit around 4 swim might take 5mg of addy every few hours to just keep him from feeling a post addy crash which might bring on a bad trip

SWIM has, over the years, mixed pretty much everything with lsd, and most drugs seem to do exactly what they normaly do, they distract from the trip, but dont realy reduce LSD's effectivness. SWIM has tried Codein with lsd, to deal with pain, and found that he had a very mellow trip, but tripped just as hard as usual, if not a bit harder. SWIM has to warm about marijuana use however, he finds that it's effects are completly dependant on one's tollerance to THC, those who smoke a whack will barely notice a joint, those that smoke regularly will be relaxed, if a bit confused with maybe a bit more visuals, and those that dont smoke, will have their brains melt out thru the top of their heads, not unpleasant, but good to be warned, also, mj and lsd both can cause paranoia in some, so if SWIY is succeptible to paranoia, it may be good to avoid the combination. As for timing, a joint or two helps with comming up, but I would wait beyond the peak for the opiates, to give SWIY a nice smooth ride down.

smoking weed during peak or comeup almost always dulls the effect of lsd for swim, but on the comedown, weed makes the lsd really kick in again, on occasion even stronger than the initial trip. therefore, swim almost always has a joint on his lsd comedown.

also, candyflipping is great for swim, as he prefers to go to a club, and makes dance music more fun
