DHC question........

since it is so similar to codeine, would dihydrocodeine also be "made weaker" by grapefruite juice or would this work as a potentiation method. Swim seems to remember reading that despite their similarity, DHC functions a little differently. Anybody know?

Re: DHC question........

DHC is not metabolized into any active compounds so it is different than codeine. Whether or not it's metabolized by 3A4 I do not know though. By the way grapefruit juice does not make codeine weaker. It's pretty unclear whether it does anything good or bad at all. In swim's experience and my research that it does not weaken it though.
