tried Methadone

I tried methadone for the first time tonight. It was in pill form and my friend got his from a guy that was getting prescriptions.


did i like it? actually yes, i've heard from numerous people that it's a long lasting drug. i got a little sick feeling from it but i found out if i sipped on something to drink every now and then it would help. i didn't really feel tired, just warm and relaxed. although i know it's hard to come by on a regular basis if i came across a chance to buy more i probably would. i took 2 100mg pills and that was 8 hours ago and i'm still feeling it pretty good. this is my first time taking any opiates, and this will probably be the only form of it i take. i don't trust street heroin.

they don't make 100mg pills of methadone, chances are if you took 200mg you'd be dead or really sick. The most I've ever taken was 80mgs and that was when I had a pretty good tolerance to it, I got pretty damn sick, but I also drank so I don't know. Still the point is you either got the mg wrong or they weren't methadone.

you took two 10 mg pills i weigh almost 300 lbs and took 50 mg one time i couldnt keep my eyes open for 2.5 days

I have been on Methadone for 2 years, and at my highest tolerance to opiates I was on a dose just under 1oo mg. If you have no tolerance to opioids and took 200mg of methadone you would die. I had a bundle a day habit and 200 mg. would have killed me.

you probably did take two 10 mg pills. they dont even make 100mg pills, the biggest is a 40mg wafer and those are ubually orange or white and they say 40mg right on them and if you never took opiates and took 200mg you would have been dead, most lifelong heroin addicts would die from 200mg so be thankful you're wrong.

I was on 100 mgs a day, But I never felt anything on it. I was doing too much dope I guess. I quess 200 would kill most people..........................

Right 200mg would kill most people, but i take 100mg every morning and don't feel anything but normal, actually by about 10:00 pm i start to get watery eyes and yawn. So i should go up on my dose but i don't want to go any higher than 100mg cause you have to get off it sometime and it's gonna suck. Back to the other thing, I have take 240mg before and got high off of it but I don't recommend it unless you can handle about 3-4 grams a day of H and even then it's kind of a high dose, remember most people for pain would take 5-10mg every 6 hours. So 240mg is about 24-48 times more than normal. Then what dope addict you know is normal?

Normal?? Got me... I've been on 60 mgs of 'done a day for the last twoweeks. Started at 40 and moved up... Don't feel high at all. Still using dope, not quite as regularly though. 200mgs of 'done, is sure to double anybody over in a flash!This is my third time on"the clinic" and the most I was ever on was 75 mgs.Wish it didn't take so damn' much to get high when your on the clinic! Any one know anything about buprinoriphine? I'm sure I spelled that wrong... I've heard that unless your really not going to use at all, you shouldn't do it. Dunno if I'm ready for that, just being honest and scared....

buprenorphine is good if you are really gonna quit. . . . its not true that you cannot take anything else on it (only withinabout one hour of taking it) and it takes away all withdrawal completely. but like i said, it does not get you high. at all. so get on that program if you make your mind up to kick.

idithe jelly bear bupes an i gueess i wasnt ready to quit but this is the detox that i would suggest it kept me clea for 7 days a saved me my 1200 dollar check but as soon as i was done the program i had alotta $$$ so i relapsed sucks ha

</BLOCKQUOTE>I work at a Veterinarian Hospital...we give a very small does of Bup. to animals post op, I'd say anywhere b/w .1-.5ml depending on the size of the animal...the vet I work for said she would like to send cats who get declawed home with some Bup mixed with Val Syrup but it has to high a potential for abuse to do so. So they go home with Torbugesic....just adding that!

I am on 190 but have takenas much as 570 within a 19 hour period-but I have been on methadone for over 10 years,and heavy opiates for about 25 years.I have seen a non tolerant person take 80 and die so I would have to agree that even if it came in 100 mg increments,I find your claim highly suspect.

No doubt... it's so long lasting that the buzz can get uncomfortable. Take it two hours before going to bed and you'll wake up in the morning just as high. No way to shut it off.

I've done it a few times... compared to other opiates it's really unusual. Feels like a lightbulb glowing warmly inside you, that gets brighter/hotter the more you do.Edited by: Nicaine

For the first 2 months of being on Buprenorphine I got a real buzz out of it. It has been a year now and I get nothing but I do remember the first 2 months were nice. If you want to mess around with an opiate it is the only safe one as it is impossible to overdose but any users beware precipitated wihdrawal

I remember the first timeI tried Methadone, I did a quarter of a wafer(the big orange one). SoI guessIdid 10mgs. That put me on my ass, I had to leave school and go home and go to sleep for like 2 1/2 hrs although I luckily didnt get sick. I dont usually get sick for opiates. But the first time is usually the worst then it just gets better, in my opinion. Edited by: Tarsiercoma
